2009: Trophies = Mandatory

And it's about time. Sony has announced that starting after January 1st, 2009 ALL Playstation 3 titles must support trophies. This is not retroactive. This only applies to newly released titles after Jan 1.

This is surely good news for all of us who want the glory of collecting these things in all our games and not just a few of them.

Yes TS4 Trophies for sure, I wonder what crazy stuff they're gonna come up with.
I still want MGS4/MGO trophies though.

Attn Konami: Update MGS4 with trophies, MGO is optional, but MGS4 would greatly benefit from them.

Yeah, I'm hoping that some of the older games get patched but it will be up to the developer. I'm not a trophy whore but I do like to see the little trophy pop up when I get one. I won't go out of my way and kill myself trying to get an extreme trophy though or a tedious one. *looks at PAIN and SSHD Trophies*
