3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
One of our problems with Nintendo's official Classic Controller is how it has to be plugged into the Wiimote to be used. It's not that big of a deal, but sometimes the cord can become a nuisance. Thankfully, third-party manufacturer (and ridiculously-named company) Thrustmaster have devised the wireless solution you see above. Sure, it may not be much to look at, but at least there aren't any wires.
To connect the controller to the Wii, you'll have to plug an adapter into one of the GameCube ports on top of the console. We suspect that won't be an issue with most of you, as we're certain you (like us) already have a few WaveBird adapters plugged in up there. And, to add even more appeal to the thing, it'll only retail for $19.99, the same cost as Nintendo's official solution.
We'll have to wait until the thing releases to see, but we're pretty sure that Nintendo's controller will end up winning in the end based on feel alone. That thing looks bulky.

I never really had any problem with the classic controllers cord, but the playstation-like shape of this one is probably more comfortable than the round official classic controller. and who knows it may be really good for when Brawl comes out

A weirdly named company and a weird looking grip lol. Hm....I wonder what controller THAT looks like...
I'd still rather take apart a wavebird and paint it white. As this uses the gamecube port, there's still a few games it won't work with.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
I use the classic controller for quite a few of the VC games, so this would actually be pretty handy. $19.99 isn't bad at all.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
i'm getting this cause not only is it wireless and can be used as its own controller without the wii remote, but its bigger than the classic controller, so it'll feel better in your hands.

It's the same price as Nintendo's, has rumble, loooks comfortable, and it doesn't use energy from the Wiimote. That's an instant buy.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
This one looks nicer but I only need a CC for Donkey kong 2 and I do fine with the gamecube its uncomfortable but it saves 20 dollars.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
I'd rather have this just in case I buy more that require a cc.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
There will be plenty of new VC games coming out that having the controller as simply an option will make it well worth it's money.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
It certainly will. That's a good consideration when those factors are taken into account.

A wavebird uses batteries and this doesn't.

RE: 3rd Party wireless Classic Controller
It looks like an Xbox controller modded to a PS2 button scheme.
