RE: 480p
"Component video is capable of producing signals such as 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, but, according to some, digital connections such as DVI (video only) and HDMI (which can also include up to 8 channels of audio) generally give better results at the higher resolutions (up to 1080p). HDMI also includes both a video and audio signal in a single cable." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video
"S-Video, as most commonly implemented, carries high-bandwidth 480i or 576i resolution video, i.e. standard definition video." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Video

Languages aren''t my thing to be honest; they are my worst, i have decided to not bother with either German or French. If i need them later in life, i can learn them outside of school.

480i and 480p are SDTV, Standard TV.
The specifics on support of various HDTV modes on your HDTV are up to the capabilities of the TV itself.

RE: 480p
So when I want to use the 480P setting I need to buy a component cable? And how do I know my TV can handle the componnent cable, or is it still with normal Red White Yellow plugs or S-video?

To do 480p, you'll need the component cable, which is red blue green (for video) and red white (for audio). It will be aviable online, just as the gamecube components were.

RE: 480p
Great so now I only need to find out if my TV supports it....I don't think so cause I haven't seen a green entrance on my TV....
Is S-video with it possible too?

RE: 480p
No, S-video is just higher quality 480i.
You'll need to look for the three ports for video, red green blue. If you are missing one, you're missing all of them, as you have to have all three to have component inputs.
You'll most likely have a red/white, which is just the left/right audio signals. The yellow one near those two is the video from composite. Some tv's have a s-video connector above the yellow connector, which can be used instead of the yellow composite for a higher quality 480i.
