- What recession? Nearly 10.5 million games were sold in North America this week. Expect a lot more next week...
- Square Enix's new effort, The Last Remnant, floundered in its debut on Xbox 360 with only 45k sold.
- Call of Duty: World at War on Xbox 360 was once again the best selling game in the world this week nearly selling another 600k.
- Well short of a comeback: the PS3 sold more than 215,000 fewer units than the Xbox 360 this week and 545,000 less than the Wii.
- Gears of War 2 is the tenth Xbox 360 game to sell 2 million copies in North America. It is also now the eighth 360 game to sell 3 million worldwide. And it did it all in less than three weeks.
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the eighth PS3 game to top 2 million worldwide.
- Mario Kart Wii is just the third game of this generation to sell 10 million copies worldwide on a single console (if you call Wii Play and Wii Fit "games").
