Don't get too worked up yet, but both online rental service GameFly and online retailer GameCrazy have changed their release dates for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to March 12 and March 31 respectively. Other retailers still have the February 10 release date listed and no delay has been officially announced from Nintendo at this point, however it seems strange that two separate retailers would simultaneously push back their release dates...

No, I saw this earlier as well but until they change the release date on the Dojo or it is "officially" announced then I'm still waiting for it Feb 10th. Ignorance is bliss?

I really hope Brawl comes out when it's suppose to, but I'm not holding my breath. I have to say though that I'm really afraid about Mario Kart coming out anytime before Christmas this year...

This is madness. Don't fuel rumours of delay because two websites say so. Its like me going into EB and asking for a release date and them saying "Duuuuh... March 31, lolol. Delay rofl xD"

Until its on the Dojo, it isn't official. Not going to get worked up about this.

I honestly doubt they are gonna delay a game that's set to release in Japan in 2 weeks. Plus, it's slated for the US in just under a month. Really, they'd have done it sooner. The game is likely already gold for the Japanese version, which means there is no reason to delay it for the US since all that's left is translation. I doubt they'll make changes on the US version and not the Japanese one.

For GameFly it's probably just when they'll have it for rent. Idk about Gamecrazy though.

Its already printing, if they delay it, they better just make online better, and take out any lag thats in the game.

If they were to delay it, then I'd expect all the Melee characters back (except Pichu, Doc and Y. Link) as well as a more in depth SSE mode.

On Gonintendo.com they discuss this and it does say that Gamecrazy and Gamefly have changed their dates. But on the other hand they contacted a nintendo representative and he says it will come out on Feb. 10 and dont worry about a delay. Well that came from one of the representatives so im not worried. Also only belive nintendo and the Dojo. Not anyone eles.

i love ignorance... bliss it on up, but if there were to be a delay it woulde be to possibly slip in a third party character that they were asking another company for the licenses to use, Viewtiful Joe or Megaman possibly? I also read in the January Nintendo Power mag that Tomonobu Itagaki(producer of Team Ninja-DOA,Ninja Gaiden) wouldn't mind allowing Sakurai to put Ryu Hayabusa in SSBB. I'd wait a short delay for his addition, that's probably it.
