Bionic Commando: Rearmed & Braid.
Who here bought either of these games or played the demos? I couldn't resist them, the just seemed so intriguing so I bought them.
I love Braid, the puzzles are so satisfying and the music is really cool. Some of the puzzles can be mind bogglingly difficult at first but you'll get them all in the end. Not for everyone, if you like puzzle games then this is your game though.
Bionic Commando is probably the best arcade game out there. I've tried a lot of them (I don't own many) and this one honestly could probably stand being a full fledged retail game. Great graphics and fun as hell. If you don't get this game then you're nuts.
So what did you guys think about them?

braid is frickin incredible. im taking my time with it though. it is a lot of fun. i also like watching people play levels that ive already beat to see how fast tehy catch on to the certain puzzles. good stuff.
i didnt like BC: rearmed much. i loved the 8-bit version, but im just not feeling the graphics on this one. i was also kinda tired when i played it so i'll give the demo a try again when im not as fatigued.

Yeah, I've been loving Braid. Although, some of the levels have been total mind fucks. But yeah, won't talk to much about it here, don't want to spoil it for people it's just too good.
I really like Bionic commando, I dunno, I just find it really fun.

i dont want to spoil too much, but did you find the hidden books in epilogue?
there's also one other mystery/fetch quest out there that isnt mentioned anywhere in the game.

I'm just going to use spoiler tags.
Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
I read all the books in the epilogue. But what was with the girl singing? Did you notice that? It seemed like if you left only the orange book open that noise would happen. I couldn't get one of them though. But it was definitely a bitter sweet ending. What's this fetch quest you speak of?
Oh and that cloud? What was up wit that? (At the fort made of blocks).

i didnt know we had spoiler tags. lol
Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
i think the singing lady was just there to let you know there was extra text/dialogue in the story. im pretty sure i know which one you couldnt get. was it teh one with the statue of a boy? that one took me a while too. i'll give you a tiny hint. rewind.
the fetch quest are hidden stars scattered somehwere in the worlds that you need to find to fill up the constellation from world 1. ive only discovered one star.
not sure about the cloud, but im starting to think that it has to be there for a reason. maybe only beating certain levels to create a different shape with the colored blocks. i dunno.

Haha, why yes we do have spoiler tags. XD
Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
Yeah, I wasn't able to get the one with the boy. I'll give 'er another go though.
I knew that constellation had to be used for something! It just seemed too random. XD Hmm. I'll definitely have to look around.
Maybe the cloud does something once you get all the stars? Or after you complete the speed run? But I also think it must do something. I think I'm going to try the speed run sometime. The game was just so awesome. XD

braid spoilers:
Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
i found all the stars, but i had to cheat. it's impossible to know where these things could be. so i looked up what levels the stars were located and then just figure it out from there. man, theyre uber difficult to get. it didnt do anything to the cloud, but it reveals a little bit more about the story. it's good stuff. i cant help but feel theres still more hidden stuff in the game that people havent discovered yet. i guess there arent any spoilers in here, but for those who have never played it or are interested, i'd hate to spoil anything about the game.

Jesus! 30 minutes! That's ridiculous! You'd have to know the puzzles inside and out and have a REALLY good mastery of the controls. O.O

Awwwww man...2 minutes? Bummer man. One day I'll give it a shot, but for now I'm sticking with Castle Crashers and finishing Bionic Commando. Braid was one hell of a game though. Oh well, good luck with getting that speed run!

i said, "f' you, braid! youre not kicking my ass!" went at it again and beat it with less than 2 minutes to spare.

RE: Bionic Commando: Rearmed & Braid.
after playing the BC:R demo a few more times, i bought it. i definitely must have had a bad day when it was released because the controls feel tight and responsive. i just had to put myself in the mindset that theres no jump button.
before this game, i hadnt seen a 'game over' screen in quite a while.
fun game so far.

RE: Bionic Commando: Rearmed & Braid.
final update on BC:R...
found all the secrets. played through hard, but couldnt get past the albatross level. so i tried my hand at super hard and the english dictionary now has new curse words to add. i stopped playing that after i died in hte first level without ever having reached the boss. im close to completing the challenge rooms. i have 3 more to go. one room took me 200+ attempts to figure out.
overall my experience with the game has been a lot of fun. i sometimes found myself forgetting that im playing an xbla game because it's such a polished, full featured game.
ps: the soundtrack is fantastic!
