Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has played the new DQM game yet. I was a fan of the older ones for gbc and don't know if I should pick the new one up or not. Also, I'm interested in hearing how the wifi features work and if you can trade monsters over wifi like on the pokemon games (nothing I've read says you can do this specifically over wifi, just local wireless).

If you like Dragon Quest Monsters, buy this game. It is far and away the best so far. Scouting monsters is much better implimented, so you don't have to drown monters in meat to have a chance that they will randomly join your team.
If you've ever played Dragon Quest I, II or III (or IV, or V, or VI, or VII, or especially VIII) you'll love all the nostalgia from those past games. (you can get King Trode himself from VIII, Zoma from III, stuff like that. Rhapthorne, Dhoulmagus, ect.)
I hate to tell you I don't have Wifi for my DS so I have never done it online, but you should be able to battle and trade and synthesize online.

my friend said it was pretty awesome and I watched him play for a few minutes and it looked pretty good to me.

Damn strait. This builds on every dragon quest game ever. And the graphics are arguably the best on the system. Seriously, the're amazing.

I bought it the day it came out and ihavent put it down, its much more than a pokemon clone
: the scouting is much better than thowing pokeballs
: the Graphics are really awsome
: Its quite big, its took me 16 hours already and im no where near to finishing
: the monsters are all pretty cool
: monster synthesysing is pretty awsome, especcialy when you synthesyse from something crap into a awsome monster by synthesysing chains.
: but there is lotsa level grinding, but its fun to do so i dont mind.
