I like how she "accidentally" let it slip out. This could turn into a shitstorm or it could ingenious on her part and cause the book/movies to sell even more. We all know how that works. Take Davinci Code, where people only watched it because of the controversy. I couldn't care either way but this could look bad if you consider he is/was the headmaster of a school for children and teenagers...

I... I don't know what to say. How could she say such a thing, even if it was a joke? Millions of kids see Dumbluldore as their idol, and she just told them he was... was... I can't say it. I want to rant on for hours, but i'm at a loss for words.

I don't think this is a big deal at all. Dumbledore being gay isn't something you could read in the books and figure out, it's just what the author was thinking in her head while writing the series.

Any group or person who rants or raves over this is just looking for either attention or to make a quick buck.

I'm not a Harry Potter fan, so I can't comment on whether this was a publicity stunt or hinted at previously, but I feel I have to ask: who gives a toss? Apart from a few idiot Bible-bashers from America, I mean? I think it's rather pathetic that this should be a big deal in this day and age. Besides, it's a kid's book- JK Rowling is not exactly going to describe gay sex in explicit detail or something.

lol, I'm not saying he is or isn't a pedophile. It's only a character in a book anyways. I'm just saying that people are bound to point out his job and sexual preference. As others have stated, pictures are already hitting the internet, it's just a matter of time. I honestly don't care if he's gay or not. I've read the books and seen all the movies available and yes I will see the other movies when they are finally completed.

What difference does this make? To begin with, he doesn't have any romantic relationships with ANYONE in ANY of the books, and second, how does his sexual preference have any influence on his other actions?

Some of you disgust me.. Who cares if the character is gay or not, you shouldn't change your feelings on the character no matter what his sexual preference is. It just really doesn't matter at all, and some of you are making out it is a big deal.

Ya, changes nothing, she was just trying to get more publicity, if you really must, you could just view his relationship with that character as a close friendship. Personally, I found no sexual connections between those characters. Hell, Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
