Latest episode of Sony's Qore on PSN contains Resistance 2 beta access
Today's the day! The latest episode of Qore hitting the PlayStation Network today will contain access to the Resistance 2 public beta, according to the official PlayStation blog. The price of a single episode is $2.99, so you'll have to decide whether or not that's worth it to you; the episode will also contain some gameplay footage and interviews, all of which seem like jokes compared to the idea of the Resistance 2 beta.
Keep in mind that this will not be the only way to enter the beta. Insomniac has promised future details on a pre-order program that will also grant you access to the anticipated beta program.
I'm going to be honest: I haven't purchased and download a single episode of Sony's digital PlayStation Network magazine/video series, Qore. Sure, the show's host Veronica Belmont (no relation to Simon, I'm told) was voted by Playboy readers one of the "sexist bloggers," but that's really not enough to guarantee a sale. Also, I'm bitter that Dale North wasn't nominated.

Yeah, I debated downloading it BEFORE I found out it cost money. lol No chance in hell I'd pay for it.

The beta actually starts in September, according to the source below, but it seems the best way to get a beta key is through a pre-order program (like Qore...I guess), which is also stated in the quote below.

The way that they word it is that you aren't buying the beta or early demos that sometimes come with it but they are just bonuses. I have never bought Qore (can't really but wouldn't if I could) because I don't mind waiting another week or two for a demo and all of the videos and info included can be found on the web for free just a day or two after it is released...

Well I figure that it if you're going to play the beta, why not just pre-order the game? Not only do you have a guaranteed copy but you get to play the beta. Shelling out $2.99 for beta access and nothing else seems lame to me.
