Here is an introduction to some of the great Wiiloaded Musicians! Enjoy!
Meet Snare!:
Hi everyone, My name is Kyle (Snare). I started playing the piano when I was in 3rd grade. I took lessons for one year and it probably helped. When I went into 6th grade I started playing the trumpet in band but really wanted to play percussion so in 7th grade I made my switch. I continued playing for the next year. Incase any of you were wondering this is where my name “Snare” comes from (like the snare drum).
After playing the Piano when I was young I would try to teach myself songs by ear. I would play off and on all the time. Just recently after listening to the Mortal Kombat theme I decided I wanted to play. This is what kind of sparked my interest for Video Game Music. I now play a variety of game music from Pacman to Mario to Zelda.
I plan on making some easier/intermediate tutorials for all of the songs I play. I will also be making some videos of my piano playing. I hope you all enjoy!
Meet M@gic!:
Hi everyone! My name is Mark (M@gicM@rker) and I was (partially) taught how to read music for the piano at age 6-7. I never really had an interest until I saw YouTube videos of people playing video game themes on the piano. I was curious, so I started searching for music.
I stumbled upon a small website giving out a few sheets for the original Super Mario Bros, and printed the Overworld Theme. Ever since then, I've been printing tons of sheets every week.
In the future, I plan on putting up videos of me playing several of these songs, and possibly tutorials. Be warned, though; a lot of the songs I play are difficult, so learning them may be hard.
Meet Angel!:
Herrow, Angel here and well i pretty much live for music and video games, I'v been playing guitar since i was about 6 years old, i currently own a Valenciana Spanish nylon string acoustic guitar, an Ovation steel string acoustic guitar and a Fender 1975 telecaster (electric). I also play piano and drums, ive been playing piano for about 5 years and drums for 3 years (i really suck at drums). I own a Roland RD-700 SX Digital Piano, and a Korg microKorg MiniVocorder....END
Meet Brando2600!:
Yo! Brando talking. I play the drums, ive been playing for 3-4 years in a band thats seriously lacking members. Right now were playing "seven nation army" by the white stripes, awesome song. Ive been getting lessons since a little before summer of 07, we had to stop a lil while ago to save money, im gonna start getting them again after summer is over.
I have Westbury drums and Camber cymbals, but one cymbal is crash/ride, i dont like it, thats why im getting seperate ones. I like to play songs while im listening to them on my mp3.
Meet D4rk!:
Why hello there! I'm aparently D4rk (Or John as I am sometimes known), I can play a multitude of instruments, but I like my guitar most Smile I've been playing since I was 13/14 ish, and refused to get lessons because I like to figure things out for myself Wink. I used to use tabs, but I have been gifted with perfect pitch hearing so I much prefer to learn songs by ear nowdays. I'm lead in an Indielectro band but we aren't gigging at the moment. My influences are from three main categories, The Pink Floydy style solos, The Bloc Party style catchy guitar riffs and the Loud abrasive sounds from the likes of the prodigy.
My current setup for my guitar is a DeArmond M-65 (I do have a strat around, but it's not technically mine) with a Fender FrontMan 25W. I also use a Zoom 707-II on occation but it depends on my mood. I use Ernie greens for strings if anyone cares Toungue. I hope to buy a new amp soon (I'm keeping my eye on a 90W fender, but I may change for a marshal or a JC). In the slightly more distant future I'll be getting a Fender Telecaster deluxe Smile.
I can also Play Keyboard and Drums, but you won't likely here me doing much of that (One reason being I lack a drum kit) because I wuv my guitar so mwuch :3
Meet TheCosmicFrog!:
TheCosmicFrog's real name is Aaron, and he has been playing guitar for as long as his memory can tell him (approx. 5 weeks). He joins the Musicians Group as the "Aspiring Punk Rocker". He feels that with a bit of practice he can go far. His machine is an Aria STG series with a Gould 10w Boost Amp. He refuses to play with anything other than Fender picks, preferably the Hard Rock Café ones he bought in NYC. He listens to most music, but his favorite band is blink-182. He wants to get a job to save up for a pink Fender Stratocaster with a white pickguard and a light rosewood neck *drools*
Meet Punk330852:
Hi everyone my name is George (Punk330852). I started playing my first instrument when i was in 7th grade, I played the trombone. I wanted to play the trumpet but they would not let me so i quit band after a year. In 9th grade my aunt gave me a rundown Univox custom guitar and i had a tiny 1W fender amp to play on. I winded up saving my money and when i was 14 i bought myslef a Fender Squier Stratocaster with a 32W fender amp, Then at the age of 15 i got into a band called The Ugly Livvers, yes the word livver is supposed to be spelled wrong.
Well ever since then I have practiced my guitar day and night until I was able to speed pick and solo then I for my 16th birthday i got a Schecter Omen 6 guitar with a 150W line 6 spider 3 amp and I got even more serious about the guitar. I have never taken any lessons I have always used tabs but now i mostly learn by ear. I also started learning tons of game themes and tv show themes on guitar like power ranger, thundercats, duke nukem, halo, mario, zelda, f-zero, mortal kombat and many more.
At the moment im still in the band and we just recorded a demo cd and I'm trying to save up to buy a ibanez prestige for $900
