RE: Microsoft Announces Mojave. the replacement for vista?
I remember reading about this a month or two ago. I can't wait til it starts airing. There is so much crap thrown around about Vista from people who have zero experience, that I hope it shuts some of them up.

How much do you retail for, Smokey?
about £900 but if you want a 32inch monitor it cost another £450
on a side note, i'm acctually gonna buy a mac mini when they upgrade the insides, so i can stand it next to my wii and use it as a media box under the telly. or atleast thats my excuse, i might just forgo the mac and put osX on as duel boot.

what about those of us who've used Vista extensively and still prefer XP? Besides, the test subjects are only shown a small portion of windows vista. This isn't really a 'test' at all but more of a marketing ploy. Now show them the whole of the operating system and then I'll be convinced (provided they receive similar results)

Now, as I and others have pointed out, there is a huge difference between seeing what amounts to a short demo of an operating system and actually having to install new software, work with existing devices, and do the kinds of everyday computing tasks we all do. In addition, the videos are edited, so one has to believe Microsoft when it says it wasn't cherry-picking the clips it included.
That said, it seems to me that Microsoft is still better off using voices of people it has convinced, as opposed to its default tactic, which is to try to tell everyone that they are wrong.
