It could be simple and fun but you can say that for every game ever made. If you dumb yourself down any game could be simple and fun, and if you try to win, every game could be competitive... unless you're obviously better than your opponent.

But anyway, it's Kart for me. I think everyone's aware of the fact that I don't exactly care for Super Smash Bros. because I've got nobody to play with me. Only one of my friends wants to play it, but half the time we're at each other's necks. Maybe that will change with Wi-Fi. Me and my friend do like House of the Dead though, so I'll get that whenever it comes out in Europe.

Surprisingly Wii Fit has no NA release date yet, you would think with all the crazy success in Japan, Nintendo would want to ship it out as soon as possible. At first it was saidto be out in Q1 and now IGN has it listed as TBA 2008

I think he means Sadness. But what happened is that it's scelduled to be released this year, but Nibris has yet to find a publisher for it. With no publisher it can't release. I don't understand why no one wants to pick up such a unique title.

And this Holiday E-Card was the last Sadness related material released

I can't believe I TOTALLY forgot Sadness even existed! I really want this game, but it's sad (haha, get it?) no one will publish it

I don't get some people's obsession with Sadness. It's coming from an unknown developer and all we have are a few hints about the story and a trailer that reveals nothing. We know absolutely nothing about the gameplay, which tends to be somewhat important in today's videogames. How can you get really excited about that? And with no publisher wanting to pick this up...doesn't that maybe tell you something about its quality? I wouldn't be surprised if we never get to play this game.

I REALLY REALLY want Brawl and Mariokart but I'm just sick and tired of Nintendo pushing Brawl further away, so i chose Mariokart

When it comes to Nintendo, Japan, and the rest of the world, who knows why they do anything they do. Perhaps they think us fat americans are too lazy to get the full usage of wi fit.

I would say Brawl.

When I was in the hospital a few years back, they gave me a GC to play, and you know what game I played? Melee, very fun.

i kinda like that it isn't a game of skill. anyone can pick it up and play it and be on-par with even a vet if they have the basic controls down. with brawl, no matter how you play it, it will always be a game of skill. even if you're playing for fun the most skilled will probably win unless there's a mishap somewhere.

that's also true. yes, i want brawl and mkwii, but i know what to expect from both of them, and it kinda dulls down the excitement from them both.

as much as i'll probably be flamed for this, i'm looking forward to trying out wii fit more than i am brawl and mk. its something new that nintendo is bringing to the table. it's still not my top wanted game coming out, but it's up there just the same. No More Heroes is probably THE game i want the most. it's not a rinse and repeat with extra fluff and new cool stuff, and it's not looking to be a "kiddy" or "casual" game. its something new, and it's controls look like they'll rock. i'm definitely looking forward to that game the most.

I am proud to say that I voted for Dragon Quest Swords.

I'm not too sure about this. Brawl is a game I have preordered and its all my friends thought about but No More Heroes looks like an awesome game that is going to be overlooked because of the gigantic launch Brawl is sure to have only two weeks after NMH is released.

And as for the Mario Kart 'items make the game less about skill', that's the farthest thing from the truth that has ever been spoken. If items are the only thing that it takes to make a skilled person into a n00b, then they weren't ever really skilled at all were they?

Anyway, my top 3 games for 2008 would definitely be like

1. SSBB/NMH
2. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
3. Mario Kart Wii

I used to really want Wii Fit but now I just don't see the point in getting it. Don't you think you will get bored easily just by standing on that platform?
