Mr.Luben Reveiws The ledgend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The 5th installment in the Zelda series was Ocarina Of Time. The game is considered the best game ever made and holds the high honer of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences 1999 Game of the Year. If you look into almost eny game web site you will see that Ocarina Of Time is ranked pretty high in best game ever category. Now being 9 years old, the game comes to use here on the Wii. Is link still the same link that he was 9 years ago? Dose it back fire on the Classic Controller? Or is the game even better then i remember? Your gona find out in the full review of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.

Story
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time truly is legendary. This was were Nintendo wanted to bring Zelda out of the same old story and into the light of awesomeness. The game is set in Hyrule (Which should be oviuse)  a kingdom created long ago by three goddesses, Din, Nayru, and Farore. When they left Hyrule go go back to heaven, they left a power that would grant the wishes of anyone who touched it. This was the Triforce. The Triforce was keeped away so that evil would not use its power for...Well evil i guess. Some time after a great war in Hyrule over the Triforce, a young boy named Link is sumoned to save the Great Duku Tree. After link destroys the curse the Great Duku Tree gives link the Kokiri Emerald (the Spiritual Stone of the forest) because he is beyond saveing. The Great Duku Tree sends Link off to Hyrule cassle to find Princess Zelda in his last words. Once link finds Zelda at hyrule cassle, he discovers that it was Ganondorf, the kings advisore, who cursed the Duku tree and was set on finding the Triforce. Sadly, the king knows nothing of Ganons evilness and dosn't listen to Zelda when she tells him. In order to keep the Triforce from Ganon, Link must find the three sacred stones (One of which link already has) that gain acsess to the Sacred Realm and use the Triforce to defeat Ganon once and for all!
A story of this magnitude had never been done before. It had twists and turns that no one expected, along with new story elements. The story dose eventually move from this begining line, but i don't want to give it away to those who had never played OoT. Just belive me when i say that it ROCKS! This is one of those storys that keeps you guessing right up to the end! It also gets you really into it and excited about the next cut-scene! All in all, its a great, ledgendary and fun to play.

Graphics
Now, the big thing about the graphics is that its in full 3D, free roming and the masiveness. The 3D graphics were considered a perfect transition from 2D to 3D. In my opion, i agree. The transitinon was seamless and wonderfull. The free roming was fun to because you could go almost enywere with the right wepon. Its fun to know that i can go see the Zoras or Gorons eny time i want! And lastly, the massivness of the game. The game was massive for standereds back then and still feels massive today! So basicly, its an amazing graphical game that has to be experianced to belive it!

Gameplay
Now, a great story can totally get murdered by the gameplay. If the gameplay is wrong then the game is wrong. Zelda: Ocarina of Time, totally masters third person 3D adventure game. The lock on feature was also first used here and they nearlly masterd it on there first try. The Classic Controller isn't the best but it kicks the GCs controllers butt in this game. It feels kinda weird to strech your thumb over to the analog stick, but i got used to it. Other then that the gameplay is basicly like eny other Zelda except for there are now 3 buttons to assign wepons to. As in previous Zelda games, Hyrule is a large, fully connected overworld containing several dungeons....except its in 3D.  Through out the over world are dungens that you must go through to complete the game. Within most dungeons, Link must battle and puzzle his way through, finding items such as a Dungeon Map and Compass. A dungeon typically contains a special weapon, needed to defeat the boss at the end.
The low down on the gameplay is that Nintendo nailed 3D zelda with there first try. It aint perfect but its still great!

Music
Well the game dose do alot with an Ocarina so music is a big deal in this game. Many of the original theams are there with some more added. A great aspect of the music is that the music fits VERY well with the place. It also gives the place a serten feel and the music acamplicies that great. When you want to do something, go somewere or just see wat happens, you can play your Ocarina! The ocarina is used as a Cut-scene triger, teleporter and many more. Its really fun to play songs that you learn from people and places. The quality of the music is also good for the time it came out. In the end, the music is just as ledgendary as the rest of the game.

Story--9/10--A great story with amazing aspects!
Graphics--9.8/10--A huge leap from 2D to 3D that was flawless!
Gameplay--10/10--The lock on feature was an amazing adition!
Music--9.5/10--Great Zelda theamed music!
Overall--9.8--The best Zelda ever....Except for TP mabye...
Get this game?--YES!! If you have never played this game, then its a must have for you! If you've played it, its great to relive the ledgend! May the ledgend live on for many years to come.

If the graphics were flawless, why'd you give it a 9.8/10 on graphics?

What sits in a tree, weighs six ounces and is very dangerous? A Sparrow with a Machine Gun!

Because it ain't perfect! If i were to give it a 10/10, i would have said perfect. Flawless dosen't mean perfect but it sure comes close!
