Mr.Luben presents - A pair of DS reviews!

Mr.Luben Presents
a review of

Elite Beat Agents
&
Animal Crossing Wild World

The world is in trouble! There are missing dogs, Olympic runners with fevers, and helpless divas all in need of help! You must help! You are an Elite beat Agent and must use your groovy dancing to help everyone with there own personal troubles! This is Elite Beat Agents!!

~ Story ~

Commander Kohm searches for people in distress and you are the one to go out and help them! You must use your wacky dance moves to help the people with there troubles. The better you do, the more likely it is for the person in pearl to be helped! Now, at first start, i thought "Wtf??? Why am i just randomly going around helping desperate chicks and taxi drivers?" But as i played, i continued to more and more into the story! I nearly cried when i failed to see the little girl reunite with her long lost father. (Pathetic, i know...) Also, it gets very fun to see the very unic way of story telling unfold in a comic strip sort of still. But, over all, a very addicting story that will keep you hooked for a time!

~ Graphics ~

As i stated before, the comic strip style of story telling is very clear and appealing to watch! The 3d globe that you find your missions on reminded me of the Globe in the Weather Channel and News Channel from the wii. The dancing from the EBAs is very very clear and not at all very pixletted.

~ Gameplay ~

In Elite Beat Agents, the style of gameplay is alot like that of in Guitar Hero. Rythem Based notes being played against a song. And also, i have played both quite a bit. I must say, who needs Guitar Hero when you have a game just as great and maybe better right there in your pocket! The songs are fun and very enjoyable to play against. Guitar hero may have more songs, but for a hand held, its amazing what they pulled off!
(One thing i must complain about is the battery drainage. It feels like that this game drains my battery more then other. I could be the electricity that goes into the sound, but i don't know...)

~ Music ~

The music is really where this game shins! If it weren't for the great sound quality of the songs, this game would not be so much fun! I mostly prefer to play with head phones, but the DS's two little spechers do just great! Some of the tracks range from Pop, to hard rock! There is even some disco in there! But, over all, there is music that is easy to rock and groove to! Absolutely Great Fun!!

Elite Beat Agents Scores --

Story - 9.5
Graphics - 9.5
Gameplay - 10

Awe, Animal Crossing... When was it that you came into my life and wasted hours upon hours of fun? Was it really that long? All the way back on the GameCube?... And now you are on my DS... Has anything really changed since you came over to the DS?... Well, lets go ahead and find out! Here is a review of Animal Crossing - Wild World!

~ Story ~

You have just moved into a new town! Tom nook has just finished building your house and is ready for you to move in! But, sadly, there is quite a hefty sum of money due for that lovely little house! And so it begins to collect money to make your house bigger and better by simply paying off your mortgage!
Sadly, there really isn't much new from the GC version story wise... In fact, i think its the exact same thing! This really mad me kinda mad. I was expecting a new and improved version of the old Animal Crossing from the Cube, but i simply got the same thing over again.
One thing that i did find rather refreshing is that there is quite more interaction between players and the other Computer residents! You can send letters and expect to get something in return, or pick up on a hint about some furniture or fossils and give it to them to see their face shine!!

~ Graphics ~

Instead of going Zelda side scrolling style, the game developers decided to make it so that you could walk around something like a large globe that you can see things over the horizon! It is nice to see a different style that way. But, other wise, the graphics may be a bit downsized from the Cube version, but it is still recognizable as a DS game!
Overall, pretty fresh and fun!

~ Gameplay ~

Oh my... Where to start?... First off, you can ether use the Style Pen or the buttons. Both have there own plus and minuses, but i found myself switching from buttons to Style when doing item grabbing and i would often use buttons when moving through the town. But, mostly, its a nice system that works very nice on the DS.
Next up is that there is quite a bit of town things to do. Such as flee markets, fishing contests and so on! I sadly, have not experienced much of them...
Other then making your house nice and big, there is paintings, Fossils, fish and bugs. These can all ether be sold or donated to the town museum. This time around, there is nearly 2 or 3 times as many things to collect and give to them! Its alot of fun to give to the museum to see it grow!

Sadly, my father will not fix the internet connection until we get back from vacation... As soon as i get some online play in, i will update this part of the review....

So, overall, this is a great, fun, awesome game to play! If you want something almost as addictive as Pokemans, then this will keep you hooked for a long time!

~ Music ~

The music really isn't much different from the original game on the cube. Nothing really notable, or amazing. And yet, there isn't anything terrible or annoying... Except there is one thing. K.K. Slider. He plays every Saturday night at the Roost (an small cafe with 200 bell coffee) and you can request only one song every saturday. But the really cool thing is that you get a free track to play on your tap deck at home! My favorite is K.K. Rock!
So, just because of K.K. Slider, the music score gets bumped up!

Wild World Scores --

Story - 7.8
Graphics - 8.3
GamePlay - 10
Music - 8.8
Get this game? - If you love addicting games, then Yes! If you didn't love the first 100%, then i would suggest staying away....

Overall - 9

I already own AC:WW, but I have to remake my town.

Elite Beat Agents looks pretty cool..maybe I'll ask for it for my birthday?

Nice reviews luben...though you don't have to have loved the first Animal Crossing 100% to buy Wild World...

What sits in a tree, weighs six ounces and is very dangerous? A Sparrow with a Machine Gun!
