yay. I wonder if the GTA DLC will come out that day as well.. you'd think Rockstar would take advantage of everyone being on their 360s downloading the new dashboard that they'd go ahead and get the DLC right afterwards

i'm thinking xbl will be ota that day for the update (ota off the air) or atleast in minimal form, the download servers are gonna get hammered,

Nah its microsoft they planned ahead and are putting up additional download servers to smooth the process along.

Wait. what? of course it will be down microsoft are idiots when it comes to these things.

I wonder what THIS year's free arcade game will be? I'm hoping for some straight points, actually

everyone does that. With that many consoles trying to reach the servers at once...it'll be hell. Try to wait until the next day or even a few days after to update. It'll be faster.

This is just in time for when I might buy my 360. (crosses fingers)

there has never been an issue with the previous updates. if theres any indication of the d/l size, it seems to be under 256MB which isnt much. i think that first mini-update was also a way to test their servers and gauge the d/l traffic.

It was the also the first 2 weeks I had my 360 lol, gave me a bad first impression of Live. But now I love it

i recon live might take a hammering this chrimbo also, i'd expect 2 or 3 days down rather than 2 weeks tho
