It looks like the bastard child of a new handheld, crossed with the Nintendo DS.
I think it's ashamed of its existence. They should have made a completely new handheld; not this monster.
Stupid move by Nintendo really, so many added functions that could be used for gameplay (two touch screens now, a camera, SD cards) but won't be because developers won't kick out half their audience to cater to the DSi crowd.
Though this would have been even worse as a new handheld. If they upped the graphical power then it be great.
But since it's just an upgrade there was no point in doing it.
I don't need a camera, and the top touch screen won't be of much use in the first place...
And my R4 covers everything else this thing can do.
Oh well, I wonder how people that buy this will feel when Ninty unveil the actual successor to the DS next year xD

There's only one touch screen, at least from what I've been hearing. Regardless. Meh. Why not upgrade, if stores offer good enough trade-in deals.

The top will be a touch screen for DSi menus and apps, but i don't see why games couldn't work either.

^Cause then developers would have to make a work around for people without the "upgrade". To much time and money to cater to a small crowd.

Wow that's expensive; and they always boost the price when dealing over-seas.. I'm guessing about 200$ here, I don't even want to think of the prices in Australia and Europe (they bounce it a lot there despite it being closer)

I think the "DSI" is a little bit of a joke. Nintendo is just using the same old hardware, minus gameboy advance BC, and adding a camera and an SD card reader. How many DS version does the consumer need before they ask for something that has a little more umph to it?

Hey if Sony is allowed to do nothing but add HDD space and take away BC and they still get to release new SKU every five months I think Nintendo can release one every two years not be faulted.
