No online for Australia in Medal of Honour: Heroes 2?
Back when the US reviewed EA's Medal of Honour Heroes 2, we were thrilled to learn that the 32-player online multiplayer - virtually unheard of on Wii - worked like a charm. It was a major reason for gamers to get excited - and now apparently the entire mode has been scrapped from the game.
According to early reports from gamers who secured their copy today, the Australian version of the game has been modified, removing all online and multiplayer options from the game itself, while also removing all references to the online component from the boxart.
IGN AU has sought comment from EA's local PR branch. At this stage, no definitive comment has been made, but the representative had this to say:
I'm trying to ascertain all the details about this now to get back to you soon with an answer.

They said other games don't have the Wifi sticker on there games, but it still played online, I dunno about MOH.

Is there a Wi-Fi sticker on the America box art? Cause this game doesn't use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It uses EA Nation. That would suck if EA decided to pull Online from this game...

A small update on the situation:
Hey lads and lasses, just to keep you in the loop: just chased EA again and they're still looking into it.
On a personal note, I'm pretty surprised by the whole thing - a lack of local servers is likely the reason, but it's a sly thing for EA to do for a major release on a popular platform like this.
We haven't received our review copy either - which may or may not be because of the lack of multiplayer. No press can sometimes be better than negative press.
Anyway, stick around. If I hear anything, it'll go online tonight.
The US version did have a "32 person multiplayer" tag on the American box art :

If this ends up being true then this game is going to sell like crap here. Who's going to buy a game like this without the 32 player online? I know I won't.

At the moment, I'm too poor for both options. But I've got a job coming up in the next few weeks so time will tell.

im sure i saw austrailia as a location when i was scrolling through my account setup option lastnight in MOH IMO this game wouldnt be worth having if there is no online its a good game but much better with online

The multiplayer was the best part of this game. Second only to EA mercifully avoiding the incredibly ugly friend code thing.

Simply put, this is out of order.
The game gets delayed several months and when it arrives it is horribly massacred losing its best features.
EA being to tight, that's what all this is about.
I reckon new Sony console will be unveiled about 2012-2013, released late 2014. New xbox will be unveiled about 2011 and released christmas 2012. The new Nintendo console will just be a puppy.

It's funny that EA hasn't commented on this at all. Well looks like we miss out, so I won't be purchasing the game. If I was desperate I'd get the UK version but I may as well just wait for Zack and Wiki.
