Things I wanted to point out:

1. I'm leaving! threads
2. I'm Back! threads
3. SPAM and Last Person to Post Here Wins threads
4. Sexual innuendo threads
5. Pheonix Downs

I'll start on a lighter note than SPAM,
the "i'm leaving" and "i'm back" threads that seem to continuously pop up.

1. Yes, we will be sad to see you go, whether it be for a week or forever. You guys are great, and always keep us up to our eyebrows in awesomeness, but please please please...don't make a thread about it. As I said, it makes us sad. If you'd like to let people know where you're running off to, that's fine, but please do it quietly through PMs. You can let your friends know, or if it's a serious case you can let the staff know. but PLEASE do not draw every members attention to it. If I see one, I will lock it.


2. On a similar note, "i'm back" threads will also not be tolerated. Yes, we are glad to see you back. YAY, you came back to us! But please do not make a thread about it...especially if all you're going to say is "i'm back, what'd i miss?" PLEASE. OT IS NOT THE ONLY SECTION OF THIS FORUM. Read through the recent threads in OT, but don't forget about all the news and info we have regarding the games and stuff. it's not that hard to browse through thread titles when you land on a page. the only exception is if you've been gone for a long, long, long time, and nobody knows who you are. in which case you'll be moved to New Members to be re-introduced. :3

HOWEVER there is an exception (beyond that exception); if you can provide a thread with a good, solid subject. Example: "I went XXX, here are some pictures, and look who i met!" That type of topic isn't announcing your return to us, yet it gives us a topic to talk about. "Really? I went there once, and it was amazing, did you go XXX while you were there? I'll have to stop at XXX the next time I'm there!" If they have something to talk about that will keep the thread from becoming spam, it'll stay open for a little while; but as soon as that topic is done, it will be closed if it doesn't die.


3. SPAM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

ANY thread found without a topic, made simply for a thread to spam randomly, WILL be locked. I tried leaving some warnings not to do it in the threads that were locked, but apparantly the message hasn't gotten across to everyone yet.

Threads are acceptable if they have a consistant topic, or if they're a game that hasn't been created already. It can be a thread about the taste of your eyebrows, what color shirt you wore today, when the last time you showered was, etc, AS LONG AS THEY STAY ON TOPIC. if they start to wander off topic, then the thread will be locked as all it will be is spam in a thread, under the heading of something non-spammish.  

You may create a game, HOWEVER. If the game is anything like "Last Person to Post Here Wins" and the game is simply to post regardless of topic, it will not survive. It WILL get locked as soon as it's seen.


4. Sexual Innuendo threads NEED to stop. Seriously, it was fun the first two times, but I think it's safe to say that you're not only getting on my nerves, but a LOT of people's nerves. So STOP IT! Any more, and we will either A. Change the Subject line to something more appropriate, or B. Lock it if it stays on the inappropriate side of things and/or you refuse to keep the subject line we gave you.

No whining if we lock it, either. If it got locked, it's your own fault for posting it when a lot of us have clearly stated that we're sick and tired of seeing them. Seriously people, think before you post. It's not funny anymore, it's just plain annoying.


5. Pheonix Downing a thread thats been dead for over 3 months isn't worth it, and if i catch it i will lock it. obviously, if its been dead that long, people lost interest in it, or the topic has ended. don't bring it back up, just start a new thread, and if you want just say "a continuation from XXXX" don't make me go back through all the pages of OT to lock all the dead threads.

I want to keep this forum fun, but at the same time follow the guidelines of WiiLoaded. Just try to keep threads on topic, and if you make a new thread, be sure that it HAS a topic that will get replies other than "welcome back!" or "ill miss you!"

Other than that, please have fun. No complaining about the rules, and as always, no bashing/yelling at each other. Simple disagreements and voicing your opinion are welcome and encouraged, but do not take it too far.

I love this forum more than you can imagine, and I don't want it to get killed off. So let's try to bring the entire section to life, having more than just one giant spam thread ^^

we locked it. it was getting too out of hand and couldn't keep a topic for more than a page or two, and was slowly becoming pure spam. so to prevent it from reaching that point, we closed it down.

So... who won?
