PS3 sales surge 178 percent in the UK
And the price drop is the cause. Since releasing the 40GB model and reducing the price of the 60GB one, sales have skyrocketed, besting even the Xbox 360. However, the PS3 was unable to trounce upon the sales leaders, Wii and DS.
With the recent surge in popularity of the PS3, games like Resistance have been climbing up the all formats chart. Insomniac's year-old FPS is now the eight best selling game in the territory.

You know I guess this doesn't surprise me. I think part of it is due to the fact that it is a cheap blu-ray player. I also think that PS3 sales could take off even more if they can get a broader gamebase and some more hit titles.

I think you are right. At this point the PS3 can only go up, and hopefully better games will come out soon that will help be a catalyst to that.

Yeah i would really like to get a PS3 but the factor that is personally holding me back is the lack of games. That and i really want an xbox 360 so i can play Fable

Whoever wrote this has inferior grammar... "bested" should be "bettering".....
Wasn't resistance getting bad reviews? Or is it just in relation to current PS3 games, it's the best?
What's going on with the US versions....

I didn't think it was getting that bad of reviews especially since its up for an award. (not sure which one off the top of my head). That and I am kinda interested to see if there has been a spike in sales in the US too.

First off you'll have to contact the source site and complain about their grammar. Secondly, if you'll like to check out reviews for RFOM, you can go to IGN.com, 1up.com, or many other sites like anyone else would to find this information.
