RE: Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 5. Silent Hill 5 Fails.
Red Pyramid's role in Silent Hill 5 is as he always was; a judge of the guilty, an elemental force. Don't worry though, James, and only James, will ever have the pleasure of going toe to toe with him.
Bottom line; nothing was done in-game that Akira, and Konami, didn't approve of. So, would you kindly plug a tampon into that whimpering vagina you call a mouth? Pretty please.

RE: Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 5. Silent Hill 5 Fails.
I could. Or could not. Now would you kindly keep yours closed. Welcome to the internet, home of opinions. I'm at least glad to hear that Alex tosser won't get to go toe-to-toe with Pyramid Head. Still feels slanderous to have him in this game.
I'm going to be renting it out with a friend (who is a massive SH fan) when it releases down-under. And if not he has pledged that he'll import it anyway just to see if they have salvaged what was ruined in SH4 and SHO.
RE: Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 5. Silent Hill 5 Fails.
I think you'll be pleasantly suprised, oh sourpuss.
Here's my current standing;
Silent Hill 2(the work of art)
Silent Hill 5 (the one nobody saw coming)
Silent Hill 3(the swan song of team silent)
Silent Hill 4 (the black sheep)
Silent Hill 0 (the game we've played before)
Now, from a PURE gameplay standpoint...
Silent Hill 5 (It feels meaty, like you smashed SH2 and 3 into one whole.)
Silent Hill 3 (Linear, but so intense.)
Silent Hill 2 (Lost in the fog?)
Silent Hill 0 (Copypasta)
Silent Hill 4 (Abortion!)

Silent Hill 5 is currently getting a 70 our of 100 from metacritic.com, so I guess it's not a complete bomb.
The Internet Wrote:
"Silent Hill 2 doesn't break any molds or revolutionize the survival-horror genre in any particular way..." -- IGN
"Silent Hill 2's gameplay mechanics are no different than those of any other game ever slapped with the 'survival-horror' tag. You'll whack legions of the same four or so enemy types, using the same familiar array of blunt objects, pistols, and shotguns; get Medallions A, B, and C; put them in Statue D, which opens Door E; walk through Door E; repeat until numb. You'll fight awkward camera angles as much as freaky bad things... fans of the original will be disappointed that not much is new." -- GamePro
"The pacing can be a little languid at times, and the combat and movement controls could use some tweaking. Also, this game feels a little linear and lacking in extras when compared to the original." -- GameCritics
"Silent Hill 2 is a much prettier, somewhat smarter but less-compelling game than the original... The game's storyline makes more sense in the end of this sequel than it did in the original, but unlike in that game, it never creates the pressing need to understand it in the first place." -- GameSpot
"Instead of the brain-bending adventure with scares and gore that I had so desperately hoped for, it turned out to be a sloppy, monotonous bore that nearly put me to sleep." -- Game Informer
Confirming what we already know; many critics don't know their slack-asses from a hole in the ground! Silent Hill's always been a love it or hate it affair, so the only way to be certain of yourself is to, well, play it for yourself.
Thankfully, even the worst Silent Hill (4) has many redeeming qualities.
