Reggie Not Keen on Disaster.
A snippet from an older IGN Voice Chat Podcast…
We hung out with Reggie, and basically, he doesn’t think Disaster is a $50 game. Especially in terms of audio, which he said is laughable. He said he’s going to watch it and see how it performs in Europe. If it does well, you’ll probably get it in America, and if it’s a bomb, you probably won’t.
Damnit, Reggie…I want Disaster: Day of Crisis! Yes, the voice acting may be a bit silly…so re-record it for North American launch?! Pull some strings, you’re high up on the food chain. Nintendo let you, and you ONLY, protect their one DSi! Get it back, hold it for ransom, negotiate some money for Disaster localization, get some new voiceovers, and get the game out in the states!

So wait, he thinks Disaster is "laughable" so to speak. But then keeps a straight face announcing Animal Crossing as a hardcore game. Or what about when he said there'd be no droughts between Nintendo's big releases. Hell, half of the Wii's line-up is laughable at the moment. At least Disaster appeals to the hardcore base.
Oh wait, I forgot. Reggie doesn't care about the hardcore base.
Anyway, this man is a jerk. Hope they replace him soon.

Actually, in the vids I've seen of the game, the VO work is grating on the ears. It's definitely not note worthy but VO none the less. It also hasn't been getting amazing reviews. From what our European friends have been telling us, Disaster seems like it's nothing more than average.

So it gets released here, it sucks and then you guys ***** about yet another crappy Wii game and whine that Nintendo doesn't stop this crap from getting to you guys.

It hasn't been doing spectacular.
But hell, if a game with the quality of Wii Music can get out then how dare we even think of asking for Disaster. Shame on us.

Homebrew Channel? Just install that thing that lets you play games from any region and import it.
And one more thing. lm-x, what do you care? This doesn't affect you in the least. It's up to Nintendo of Australia to do something about it, not NOA.

I think its obscene that this bastard can sit there and rag on this game's audio with a straight face when Nintendo have a game called WiiMUSIC that uses an even more laughable quality of audio.

Disaster looks like a horrible game anyway (opinion, fanboys); And I could care less about what Reggie says about whatever game. It's just a job. A job for Nintendo. We all know how they are.

Yeah but Wii Music is a Miyamoto creation.
So does this mean its exempt from all the criticism it deserves? I hope not. Because the rubbish audio and depressingly bad track list kill it.
