Revisiting Final Fantasy 8
I decided to put Resistance 2 down for a little while, and started playing FF8 on my PS3. Yes, the PS3 is backwards compatible with PS1 games
I really miss this type of role playing game...I know there will be a new FF game out next year, but I have to wonder if eye candy will take over for the shear expanse of the worlds and the storyline of the old games...

Probably not. I wonder how long it'll be before SquareEnix remake FF-VII. Because I need it NAO!

i wonder how long it'll be before Square-Enix releases another Chrono game. I'd take that over a remake of a game that already came out.
I haven't actually played 8, but i heard it was good. Possibly better than VII?

RE: Revisiting Final Fantasy 8
Really depends. I found it to be a decent game, though not better than VII but far better than IX.
I didn't like the magic system or the characters. But at least Seifer was awesome.

Yeah the magic system being based on items you pick up or draw is different, but I think it makes things a little more fair. Most if not all FF games will be pretty expensive these days, but if you happen to be in a local buy/trade type of place, check out FF8...you won't be disappointed.

What do you mean more fair? I found it to be more annoying. Needing to draw magic from enemies. Ugh, annoyance. I'll stick to more straight-forward magic systems thanks. But I have and always will be a fan of Materia's system.
