As long as you don't choose to update, I'm sure you'll be fine with the Freeloader. Unless the games eventually come to a point where they will need to use IOS37 or beyond, at which point you could be unable to play the game without an update, even with the Freeloader getting around the disc update thing.
That's just speculation on my part. Maybe these updates won't be necessary to play later games.
Well it will be important if what Nintendo is saying about WiiWare is true.
I bet to some people won't care about wiiware though. I bet they want brawl a lot more.

What exactly does Nintendo have to gain by blocking the Freeloader? It can't be for financial reasons, because they still get their money, just from a different region. Which leaves us with one inevitable conclusion: Nintendo hates PAL users.
In fact, given the way Nintendo treats us with utter contempt, I think this will be the last of their consoles I will buy. So basically:
**** you, Nintendo.

Put away your pitchforks everybody. This entire things was pure BS. Some loser pulling off an early April Fool's day joke. I hate this time of year because we can no longer trust anything anymore. If at the very least people confined their queer jokes until the 1st I'd be fine. But this was the 23rd of March. Seriously, people.

My point stands. Nintendo are well known to hate importers for some arbitrary reason, and have been instrumental in the downfall of a few import shops in the past (e.g. TQ Games). I will continue to extra vigilante around all future updates.
