It appears there is a rumour flying around the Internet that the reason for the lack of Mega Man and other Capcom characters in Smash Bros. Brawl is due a grudge Nintendo holds against the company. It all started when a little gem called Resident Evil 4 was released multi-platform. Originally the game was meant to be a GameCube exclusive, but that didn't last long. Sometime after the release on GameCube, Capcom decided that they would port the game over to the PS2 and PC as well.

A lot of fans hoped that Mega Man would show up in Brawl, however this wasn't the case. Despite Sega's Sonic and Konami's Snake, Sakurai left any kind of Capcom representative out of the game. Could it be possible, after all these years, Nintendo still hold a grudge against Capcom for making Resident Evil 4 multi-platform?

There's no need for that Nintendo! I mean, look where holding a grudge has got them. It's lead to no Capcom characters appearing in Brawl; which caused disappoinment over alot of fans who were expecting Megaman to be in the game.

Answering the question, I'm not a big fan of Capcom games so far, but I would have liked to have seen Megaman in Brawl.
