Now here's a rumour to sink your teeth into! Take-Two CEO, Ben Feder, recently talked about the idea of bringing something to Nintendo's home console. How about, Grand Theft Auto?

"Without commenting on whether GTA is coming to the Wii or not, Nintendo and Take-Two work very well together; Nintendo and Rockstar work well together, and we are continuing to grow that relationship," said Feder. He also claimed that the relationship is not "one-way." He wants people to know that GTA: Chinatown Wars "is not even the first step, but an important step, in continuing to develop that relationship."

The Wii is selling like hotcakes, Grand Theft Auto is a massively popular franchise, why wouldn't you combine the two? So, it's not exactly the biggest hint ever, but it's good enough for me. Who wants Grand Theft Auto Wii?

GTA could appear on Wii for that reason. There wasn't any real incentive to bring to the GCN after the GBA version since the ssytem wasn't too hot.And I love that image

If they brought GTA to the Wii (which they should do), I'd be all over it. If, however, that happens, I wouldn't see online multiplayer happening. Not that it would matter.

yaaa finely a nintendo console gta it could be great.maybe not a gta4 but the wii has around the same power as a ps2 but more so they can make something good if they really sat down and thought it all out.also for the motion controls...lets just hope they use it properly just cause the wii has it doesn't mean it has to be used just simple things should be done.

It'd be nice for Nintendo to get some GTA love, and with Chinatown Wars coming to the DS, I wouldn't put it past them to make a Wii game.

Well, GTAWii would be comparable to the PS2 GTA's. Herein lies the problem, they have to draw influence from GTA3 and Vice City. Not San Andreas, because it was one hell of a pants on head retarded game.

But after tasting GTA4 I dunno if I could go back to this regardless of how "fun" its controls would be, I can guarantee that GTA4 is probably more fun anyway.

I'm all for GTA on Wii. Maybe the prospect would encourage Nintendo to step up its game (specs wise) for the next gen.

well gta4 wasn't that great IMO. Sure it was fun throughout the story but eventually it got pretty dull to me. I bet they could make a game that was more fun. Question is, could they do it on wii?

regardless, I see this happening. There's no reason not to.

I don't play GTA4 anymore. It was fun for a while and then it lost its flair to me. :/

To compensate for the Wii's less then stellar graphical output; RockStar has declared that the upcoming game for the console will feature a bird's eye view, much like that found in the original game.
"We saw the success of Nintendo's Virtual Console, and we see that what the Wii lacks in "modern" entertainment, it pick up in retro, hardcore entertainment. Rockstar is pleased to announce the revival of the original games on this new platform." Says Rockstar's chief executive.

But I guess the starving GTA fans without a PC or PS3/360 would jump for a VC release of GTA wouldn't they?
