Looks pretty good to me. Now, discuss. It'll change and evolve over time obviously but this is how it stands atm.

Looks pretty good, although I think Kirby should be a bit lower. And perhaps Ike should have been a bit higher. Overall, not bad.

I think Ike should be higher. As should Bowser and Zelda. But everything else looks pretty good.

No, that saying is. So, if you don't like tiers: Leave this thread. They are going to be here whether you like them or not.

I agree about Zelda. But Ike and Bowser have a couple of tough match-ups against the higher characters in the tier list, thus keeping them down a little. I'm just glad Bowser made it that high.

However, further note is that it's only v1.0, so it'll evolve over time. As new techniques are discovered characters will rise or fall.

Although I really dont pay much attention to tiers, since i main both Mid to low tier characters, this list looks aight. My only dissagreement is that Mario is in the Low tier quadrant. Mario has a decent recovery, good projectile, jab lock, decent combo ability (Utilt combo and bair and Uair combos are great) and other qualities. Its odd to me that Ike is higher than Mario since Ike has a weakness with his ending lag in sum of his moves.


Im ok with sonic's position since i know he is low tier. And its good that he isnt on the very bottom.

Well, like I said. The list will evolve from here. I mean, look at the first Melee Tier List. It was strange but soon shifted into it's logical positioning. Although Mario could possibly be a little higher.

True. Especially now that Mario and Sonic mains are quite scarce nowadays. But I have now been focusing on Mario a bit more since my clan mates have said that i am much better with him than sonic. Its not that im worse with sonic but he's a bit predictable.

This is something I have felt about Sonic, with so few moves he relies heavily on his speed to control the match.

I didn't say Zelda before, and I'm ashamed. Zelda is one of my mains, and yes, she should be higher. ZSS may have been placed a bit too low as well.

Yes. his lack of highly damaging moves was problematic to me.

True. Sonic lacks high power damage moves, the only ones he has that are good are the Bair and Fair, and Fsmash and Dsmash. He mainly relies on Mindgames and gimping. But once you've mastered that he's a blast to use. And he's one of the few characters that can Combo.

Link has a few advantages. Just space him just right, use arrows, and the bombs alot. I faced a great Link a while back. Of course Mario's cape gimped his recovery horribly. I almost felt guilty using the Cape.

I think C.Falcon should really be moved up despite a few nerfed moves. Oh and so should Olimar. He's definitely high tier or maybe even top tier material.

But for the most part this list is almost what I expected. As lm-x said, as the game evolves we'll see the list shift into a more logical one.

Falcon stinks out loud in this game. He's a shadow of his former Melee self. He belongs in the bottom tier, whether or not he should stay on the bottom depends on the performance of other bottom tier characters.

At the moment I think Olimar could stand to move a few spots up, but being on the high end of the middle tier in this game is nothing to scoff at.

Agreed. Captain Falcon has seriously been nerfed in brawl. I mean if his clone, Ganon managed to get higher despite being slower, then falcon has really gone down hill. Im not sayin its impossible to play and win as him but...he doesnt deserve a higher spot.

Sonic has more priority and a better combo game that C.Falcon.
And thats saying alot. Lol.

In Melee he was, but in Brawl (because Sakurai loves his franchise: see DDD and Metaknight) he made Kirby awesome.

Toon Link should probably be very higher up.

I think Olimar and Luigi should be raised a bit more.

But otherwise the list seems pretty solid.

A lot of people thinking Toon Link needs to be raised up. If you think he deserves it then go out and win tournaments with him.
