So I don't have a 360, and I am really tempted to buy one. I'm afriad though that the 360 has been out so long, and a new console will be out in a year or two. I'm not made of money, and unless a new console is far away, I might hold out. What do you guys think?

I would reccomend it, consoles lifespans depend on the crowd themselves best example is the PS2 which is still printing out money.

Upgrade your PC. (you're using one to post this right?)

Your money really; would the amount of money you'll be spending on the system + games warrant the amount of time you'll put into using it?
If so, by all means; if no, save the cash.

I could have got a pro for 150$ but opted out anyway cause I knew the games I wanted to play on the 360 where available to me elsewhere and I wouldn't have to drop the 150$ on the console. (Now that I think about it.. I wonder if I could have turned a profit by re-selling? Probably not.)

If you have the money, I say go for it! You have many, many brilliant games to catch up on, and many more to look forward to.

I say save your money for the next generation. More than likely Microsoft's next system will be backwards compatible, and you'll be able to catch up on said games. Not to mention they'd be cheaper used, you'd save money that way.

Otherwise save your money now, or if you really want to get them video games, follow Rawr's advice.

I actually think I might get one now. What other things would I need to buy if I want Xbox Live? Also should I get the arcade or the next one up? (Elite is out)

You should get the premium, and if you're not gonna use an ethernet cable to get your 360 online, you'd have to buy one of those overpriced network adapters.

They plug into your 360, not your mac.

It'll receive the signal from your router.

You could buy a 100ft Ethernet cable for the price of the network adapter.. better just buy a few feet of Ethernet cable if you don't have any.

Buy an ethernet cable. I got a 50ft cable I believe for about 10$ shipping and everything included.

No. Buy a 360!

You'll get it fairly cheap then you could buy a cheap cable to plug into your computer and you wouldn't have to buy the 360 network adaptor.

Macs suck. But at least we know why you are considering buying a 360. Since a gaming PC =/= A Mac. Previous statement acknowledged, you should probably pick up a 360 if you're going to deprive yourself of a PC.
