lol we've all tried it ^_^ the reason is that backward compatability would require a Z80 processor and it would have made the unit simply too expensive.

I bought Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons of Ebay. I was pissed once I figured out that it wouldn't fit into the DS.

N64 had: Legend of Zelda: OoT, Mario 64, SSB64, GoldenEye: 007, StarFox...

SNES had: Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda: LttP, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Super Battletoads, Harvest Moon, DragonBall Z: Hyper Dimension...

So yeah, I can't really justify my SNES vote more than that.

maybe i'm the only one who thinks this, but games on the SNES just seemed...beautiful. seeing the vibrant color use of games like Link to the Past, Secret of Evermore, Chrono Trigger, they just seemed like awesome worlds. even the almost realistic look of games on new consoles don't seem to create that fantastic world like the SNES did, except for Tales of Symphonia for GC. my vote's for SNES
