First off, I didn't bring my SNES to my place, since I haven't played it in about half a decade.

Anyway, at the start of the semester a new game store moved into my college town.  From what I understood, GameStop was looking at it, but declined an offer, so a sole proprietorship jumped on the offer and accepted it.  They buy, sell, and trade like GS, but they still take in games and systems from long ago.  I've seen an NES, SNES, Genesis, and Dreamcast there under the glass.

Anyway, this past Sunday they held a joint tourney with a group I'm in called the Super Smash Federation (I'm sure you can guess what we do).  I was looking through the glass, and there in all it's glory was one of the rarest gems of the SNES era, possibly in existence.


EARTHBOUND


It has a price tag of $80, and looks in good condition (from what little I saw, anyway).

What do you think?  Should I buy it if I can get enough money before some one else picks it up first?  Or should I wait until it *miraculously* becomes available on the Virtual Console?

I dunno, $80 is a big tag for Earthbound. Don't get me wrong it's a great game. But it'll come to VC eventually.

But the question is when is it going to come, if at all?

Super Mario RPG hit the VC. Don't see why Earthbound wouldn't.

It might be worth it to have an original copy. You'll probably be able to sell it at a better price in a few years time.
