Toungue  in the navy?!

yes thats right, im setting the record straight!

first of all hi everyone again for the upteenth time ive disappeared and reappeared (shove it LZ this isnt a welcome thread lmao). yes, I have joined the US Navy....no not to find a husband (rumor has it they are all...well you know!) but because i wanted to for my job.

As many of you know, i left the NYPD to become a Conneticut State Officer. I did it for the HUGE pay increase back in January and because being an NYPD cop, i had too much downtime and it was aggrivating to be someones desk mouse and seargents pet. I leave for the Navy in decemeber- possibly even earlier.

I signed in to be a "Master at Arms" and hope to be doing border patrol or over seas work. Im ultra anxious and "scared" but im sure ill do fine!

sorry for being MIA for so long but when i have the time ill be back to posting regularly! i still miss all of you (esp mana! oh and LZ too)

So what do you all think besides "is she f-ing crazy!?" and the answer to that is.....F*ck YEAH I AM!!!!!!!

<3

I had an uncle in the Navy, and a father in the coastguard. You'd think I'd follow suit!

i have many relatives that were in the armed services. My grandpa is vet from korea and WWII. he was in the army/airforce before they broke off into 2 seperate branches. My uncle (my grandpas son/dads brother) was also in the Army. he went to military school growing up and graduated from the citidel later fighting in the gulf war and desert storm under the JAG corps. My dad was lucky- he didnt have to be drafted into vietnam. by the time his bday was up for the "lottery" bodies were no longer needed so he didnt have to serve. He later on in life wanted to become a cop but never went through with the testing and decided to stay at his now 6 figure income as a sales manager for paralegal law books. My brother as well took the state NJ test to become a trooper but failed to meet physical requirements (he was out of shape and although he is an athlete and used to play baseball in HS, he couldnt meet the standards).

and here i am now Smile

My grandfather was in the Navy as well. That's basically the only service I know of in my family.

RE: in the navy?!

1) navy beans are GROSS

2) noodle you know im out of my f-ing mind but i figured more ellaboration was needed on my part to explain how nuts i am Smile

3) LZ i know its been so hectic! ill actually be on the island near ronkonkoma/commack and smithtown because a buddy of mine from AZ will be visiting. we're having a video game bonanza! youre more than glad to come along too! you still have my phone number no?

and lastly 4) JR mints, i would actually have a higher pay if i did go into the NYPD and the only reason for that is because i would advance within the 5 years. if i had 2 years with them plus 4 years military, it takes atleast 5 years to take the seargents test for the NYPD. so thats the only way id have more money. but id rather just take up another department and make more money with less "responsibility" of the idiots id have to watch over lol
