Earlier last month Reggie Fils-Aime talked about how Disaster: Day of Crisis was not a “a $50 game" and that the “audio is laughable”. He also said that they would be watching Disaster’s performance in the PAL countries to determine whether or not the game would be making a North American debut or not.

Well, things aren’t looking good; as according to European sales data the game missed out on the top 20 for Ireland and Norway, missed the mark for the top 40 in the UK, failed out on making the top 10 in Germany and Spain. Worst of all though, the game didn’t even finish in the top 50 for Wii releases in the UK, which most likely has sealed this games fate.

With these results, it’s very likely that North America won’t be seeing Disaster: Day of Crisis. While many Nintendo fans had been hoping that Disaster would bring a less casual experience; they may be disappointed. While it may not be casual, the game unfortunately just doesn't live up to...well, the normal standards set out for a game. It's still odd though that Reggie would hate the game so much, there are many worse games out there then this, yet we haven't heard any comment on them. Maybe he's got something for little kids games? Or wait...maybe he just like money? But, in all honesty, if a game does this poorly, then do we really want it?

I'm a gaming enthusiast and follow games and even I didn't know it was released. I remember the October release date then the game went completely off radar, stores aren't even selling it.

I won't be buying this. Maybe a rent.

This game is featuring as prominently on store shelves over here as Okami (ie. It is nowhere to be found)

I don't care really, I'm not buying either games. But I will at least rent this baby when it comes out. It's audio is better than Wii Music, Reggie, you stupid bastard.

I'm still not thrilled about this decision.
