I agree with a lot that's being said here, one thing that surprised me a lot was Snake. When I first played as him I had my doubts, he seemed slow, awkward even and hard to control. But after playing with him more, well, he f*cking rapes! Use his weapons right and he kicks ass! Snake is wicked. XD

Of course there was a story. Our homies are just chillin having a good time when taboo takes over the Island of the Ancients (which is populated by R.O.Bs) and then decides to take over the world of smash. He takes control of Master hand, Robs and forces the Ancient Minister pick apart the world that is smash......sure it isnt deep like a Final Fantasy story but at least the creator of the storylines from FF made it. Its the deepest story for a fighting game ive came across. Mos def beats the stereotypical fighters wanting to win sum tournament story.

Yeah but we have to actually research the story to figure it out. A good story doesn't need to be researched. It presents itself to you, it's easy to understand yet complicated. Smash unfortunately just has a bunch of cutscenes that when you read a bunch of stuff later make sense when you watch them again.

It loses depth with me for not having voice or text to move it along. Yay, body language and hand gestures ftw? Come on Nintendo, jeez, we're past that. Why can't you move on?

And saying this game has better story than general fighting games is saying nothing at all.

Like
- They moved away from having too many clones this time around.
- The SSE cutscenes and the fact that they looked good and Sakurai didn't take Nintendo's "it's good enough" approach.
- When it doesn't lag the online rocks. Surprisingly, I don't lag all that much.
- Stage Builder.
- The "Challenges" wall.
- Screenshot taker.
- All the music in the game.
- Falco was changed to not be a total Fox clone (don't have Wolf yet)
- Coin launcher
- I was really surprised by ROB. I went in completely hating him but he's actually a good character.
- Final Smashes

Dislike
- That Tabuu and Sonic both came out of no where in SSE. Tabuu looked cool at least.
- Lack of voice acting in SSE.
- Replays are limited to being 3 minutes long. The fact that they aren't videos is understandable however.
- Masterpieces aren't even worth having since they're insultingly short.
- After a while SSE gets a little dull but it's still preferred to Classic mode alone.
- Only 5 unique levels of the target smash but I don't really mind.
- Tripping when it's not associated to some kind of attack from your opponent or a banana.
- Mario no longer having the tornado attack and instead being stuck with FLUDD.
- The lag online is horrible when there is any. If you have a slow connection, please don't play online. You're just ruining it for the rest of us. At the very least stick to a 1v1 game or something like that.
- Wario and Olimar.
- No online rankings or stat tracking.
- Ridley would've been great to have. SSB 4, maybe?
- No way to let friends know about your making a new game or any messaging.

To be fair, he didn't say why he didn't like them.

He might not like Wario's lack of movement frames and Olimar's lame costume choices.

I don't like Olimar or ROB. People i've played who use Olimar just run away. i like people who stay and fight!

8. The Great Maze (My only wish was the rest of SSE was set up this way)
9. SSE (a noticeable improvement over Adventure mode from Melee imo, and the "story" was halfway decent)
10. R.O.B. (Yeah, I'm in the minority here)

I'm still undecided on final smashes. I'd be all for them if they weren't such a pain in the arse to get, and the computer didn't constantly snipe them from me.
