Solid Snake: Viggo Mortensen? (Seeing him in Eastern Promises kinda gave me a sense of assurance that he could pull it off.)

Gah!!! I can't even think about possible actors for the other roles.

Viggo would be an interesting Solid Snake. He *needs* the voice though, Solid Snake is half made up by his awesome, manly voice lol.

Some girly male could play Liquid (assuming they follow his plotline, they could just as easily make a unique one)

Oh, definitely no Uwe for this. I'm so glad Kojima said that when the movie is made, it'll be by a director who HE has picked.
