Wii Fit #1 in Japan for 4 Weeks
Say what you will about Nintendo's Wii Fit but there's no doubt that the exercise game has struck a cord with the Japanese as the game has reigned supreme in the country for the fourth week running. After breaking the 1 million mark last month sales have continued to stay strong as it creeps up on other Wii titles such as Resident Evil 4 and Guitar Hero III.
Even though it does seem like Japan has fallen in love with casual gaming ( with the exception of Smash Bros. perhaps) it is unknown if the game's success in the east will carry over into the western markets in North America and Europe where hard core games seem to be the main focus (with the exception of Wii Play, but that doesn't count).

Four weeks straight, well that is about to end if SSBB has anything to say about it. If the price was drastically reduced and I felt that it would be used for many games and done well then I'd think about it.

This doesn't surprise me. It's just like the Wii Sports franchise all over again. Sounds like Japan are going crazy for Wii Fit. Brawl should stop it.

This does look like an interesting game, but if its release date is march 9th i wont be able 2 get it because i will be spending my money on Brawl that day

Actually the release date for Wii Fit is april 23rd, but you may still preoccupied with Brawl by then
