I wanted to know if the Wii Mic does what it's apparently gonna do and plug into the nunchuck socket, will it also contain a nunchuck socket so that you can indeed play with both. Because it would be stupid if you only had a choice between the two. I'm not just asking, I want people's opinions here on what they should do.

1st I've heard of it if it's not the one for High School Musical. Can you post the source?

While a pass-through would not be difficult to make, it would drive up cost and space. Personnally, I don't care as a mic ain't all that useful in gaming. Perhaps they should have synced up the DS with the Wii and just used that.

The only mic I know of is the DS mic to be released around the release of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. I would love to see a mic for online and co-op wii games though.

You must not play games that stress communication. Try playing Gears w/friends or GRAW 2. If you want team coordination, you have to speak to each other.

the ds already has a built in mic why would they make another one for it.

and i think it wiuld be cool if the wii was set up like xbox live with the headset and everything

If it was a Mic as in Headset for online gaming, it will most definately go into one of the Wii's USB ports.

If you've ever played metroid prime: hunters, you would understand why (its not the best quality, let alone anywhere near good quality). The DS mic is also used for voice commands in games such as brainage, it picks up your voice better and less chance of there being a 'mess-up'

Well the Wii does have BlueTooth. Maybe the mic is just a BT device?..

I don't think it'll hook up to the wiimote, thats nonsense. Why do that? The wiimote is constantly moving, during a game, we don't want to stop and talk into our wiimote just to tell our teamates something...

I think it'll use BT, and or perhaps the USB port. I have never had problems with charging stations.. I just hope they come out with one soon...

EW! HSM is coming to the Wii! Omg, I don't believe Nintendo would let them do that. ;_;

Anyone who thinks mics are useless in online gaming hasn't played an online game to its full... either that or it wasn't a team/strategy based online game.

I dunno, I deffinatly not getting the game, but if the Mic gets used for other things i'll deffinatly get it!
