Q:How many controller ports are there on the Wii?
A:There are four controller ports, compatible with Gamecube controllers or the Wiimote.
Q: How does the Wii access the Internet?
A: Well, you can do it wirelessly through an 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, this is mainly used by all routers that are wireless today.
Q: What if I don't have a wireless router?
A: Well, you're in luck! But not yet, the Wii has an attachment coming out soon, it plugs into the USB port on the Wii, and can be used for Ethernet connections.
Q: Wait, the Wii has USB ports?
A: Yes, two USB 2.0 ports to be exact.
Q: So, where do the games go when I download them, or wanna save?
A: The games go to Flash Memory. Onboard of the Wii is 512MB of Flash Memory. Once this runs out, you can either erase it, or get an SD Card.
Q: Wait, SD Cards work with the Wii?
A: Yes, via an SD card slot built directly into the Wii.
Q: What kind of processor does the Wii use?
A: A PowerPC CPU.
Q: What kind of graphics card does it use?
A: An ATI GPU.
Q: Can I play all my old Gamecube games on the Wii?
A: Yes, all the Gamecube games are backwards compatible with the Wii.
Q: What kind of games are available on the Wii's Virtual Console?
A: A collection of SNES, NES, N64, Genesis, and Turbo-Grafx16 titles.
Q: What are some advantages to the Wiimote over other controllers?
A: It has a built-in speaker, rumble, a motion sensor, and it has the nunchuck attachement, which allows it to be used with a joystick, also it can be snapped into attachments like the Steering Wheel included with GT Pro Series.
Q: Should I get any special cables?
A: Only if you plan on running it on a special TV, otherwise, the Wii includes your basic setups. Even these will run on these "Special" TV's but they won't take advantage of the TV's features.
Q: What are some games that are out now?
A: Call of Duty 3, Red Steel, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Wii Sports, just to list the ones I remember off the top of my head.
Q: What is playing Call of Duty 3 like with that crazy contraption?
A: Well, it's a big graphical let down compared to it's graphics on other systems, the good thing is, it's fun. I have never actually played it, but I have watched people play it. From the looks of it, you move the Wiimote to aim, use the trigger to shoot, Push the nunchuck left or right to switch weapons, Pull up the nunchuck to reload, and ton's of other cool moves.
Q: Is the Wii really worth it?
A: Personally, yes. The system is innovative in a such a way that even if the graphics were like SNES, I would buy it. Guess what though? The graphics aren't like SNES. They are kind of inbetween next gen and current gen. They are better than the XBOX and PS2 and Gamecube graphics, but not nowhere near close to the PS3 or Xbox 360.
Q: When will the other colors come out?
A: This hasn't been confirmed. I imagine that since the black Wii was the original prototype, back then known as the "Revolution", that it should hit shelves here in the US pretty soon. The other colors, such as red, lime green, and silver, haven't really been confirmed at all or seen, for all we know those were photoshopped.
Q: What is the Zapper attachment?
A: It's an attachment that your Wiimote goes into, then you can use it like a Light Gun from back in the olden days. This is good for the game on Wii Play that is like Duck Hunt, but you shoot UFO's.
Q: When will Super Smash Bros. Brawl be released?
A: Again, we're not really sure. It is known that it will be sometime in 2007 though, along with Metroid Prime Corruption, and Super Mario Galaxy.
Q: Do you think the Wii will outsell PS3?
A: Yes, it already has, the PS3 has been really bad, with a shortage of units, some games not backwards compatible yet, and the fact that it has overheating problems.
Q: Not all games are backwards compatible with the PS3?
A: Nope. I haven't confirmed this, but I've heard from several sources that only a few PS2 games work, and I guess the same goes for PS1.
Q: How did Nintendo manage to fit in rumble, and Sony didn't. Even though they both had motion-sensing technology in them.
A: Well, I really think it wasn't a matter of space, I think that they took rumble out because of a licensing deal.
Q: Are you going to buy a Wii?
A: Yes, as soon as I have the money, I am kind of hoping that I won't have the money until the black model comes out, I would be too quick to spend it on a regular Wii if their isn't a black model out when I get the money.
Q: What games are included in Wii Sports?
A: Bowling, Tennis, Baseball, Boxing, Golf.
Q: Is Madden NFL 07 any good?
A: Well, it's not graphically up with it's counterparts, but I've heard that all the new Wiimote techniques make the game so much more fun.
Q: Do you hope to win the contest for a Wii Glove?
A: Yes, I think it would be cool to have for when I finally do buy a Wii.
Q: Are you participating in any other contests?
A: As many as I can.
Q: Now, back to the Wii, will the Wii ever see a Star Wars game?
A: From what I have heard, their is a Star Wars game in development. It's kind of like an FPS (First Person Shooter), in the fact that you have a saber in front of you and you battle with the Wiimote.
Q: What is with all the problems updating the Wii?
A: My guess is that it is just a server overload, give it a few hours, or maybe a few days, once everyone gets done, it should be fine.
Q: Where is the Opera Web Browser?
A: It isn't coming out until the beginning of next year. It will be free until July I believe.
Q: So, after that will we have to buy it?
A: I don't know, I believe that we will, maybe it will go to an update, where if you want to be updated to the newest version, you have to buy it.
Q: Where can I find one of these SD cards you were talking about earlier?
A: Most electronics stores should have them. Stores like Staples, Office Depot, Radioshack, Walmart, Target. Nintendo is even making it's own Wii SD Card for people to buy.
Q: Why the name change from "Revolution" to Wii?
A: Well, they say it was because Revolution is harder to pronounce in other languages. Also, Revolution was never promised to be the final name, only the codename. It's like the "Windows Longhorn" code name compared to Windows Vista.
Q: Do you think Nintendo will gain a lot of third-party support this time around?
A: I really think so. It's a lot cheaper to program for the Wii, as the SDK is about 1/4 of what other's are (Correct me if I'm wrong).
Q: Is it true that the graphics are better than the best on the Gamecube?
A: I don't know, but from the screenshots of Splinter Cell : Double Agent, I've seen, I'd say it has the possibility.
Q: Wait, their making Splinter Cell : Double Agent on the Wii?
A: Yes, it will be like a port of the PS2 or XBOX versions, but it will have actions just tailored for the Wii.
Q: What about the Wii, is there alot?
A: Yes, unlike the PS3 shortage, the Wii has many units here. And they are being shipped regularly. Most stores aren't expecting the PS3's next shipment for a while, in that time they might get 2 or 3 shipment's of Wii's. I'm sorry PS3 fanboys, but unless your spending thousands, you might not be getting a PS3 any time soon.
