Wii Sets UK Console Sales Record

Over the weekend the Wii sold out in the UK as was expected. But wait, there's more good news (although the selling out thing might have been bad news for some). The Wii set the record as the fastest selling console ever in the UK. Over the two day period Nintendo sold over 105,000 Wiis, eclipsing the 360's first weekend numbers of 70,000.

However the DS continued to defend it's turf, selling over 110,000 units in the past week.
