Wii Speak Channel
Nintendo has revealed that they are going to deliver a Wii Speak Channel to go along with their new WiiSpeak peripheral. When you purchase the WiiSpeak, you will receive a code that will allow you to download this channel for free. In it, up to 4 friends who've exchanged Friend Codes, will be able to chat. You will be shown as a Mii and the Mii will mimic your lip movement as you speak. You'll also be able to leave your friends Voice Messages and narrate pictures.
Expect this channel November 16th.

The way the mic is I doubt I'll get into this. They need a headset.

Why can't they just let this channel run in the background when you're playing any game? That would solve half Nintendo's online problems.

It seems like it will actually be $30 alone, while selling for $60 in the Animal Crossing bundle.
Personally I think $30 is way too much. If Nintendo is going to go with lame half assed approach to Wii voice chat then I shouldn't be expected to pay any more than $15.

I personally think it should be no more than five dollars. It's limitations, not to mention hardware bull, don't make it worthwhile. Nintendo doesn't need that much money for this "service".

I'm with Dume, heck, Nintendo should feel happy people are willing to pay for their poor excuse for voice chat. When we could easily snub it and be honest with them in saying "Seriously Nintendo, you could have done better than this."

cute concept but very lame IMO. i wouldnt shell out the money for "wii speak" unless it did a hell of a lot more like online play chat but like that hasnt been said before by all you guys
Jill is one of those cops that accepts bribes, but yet doesn't eat Dunkin' Donuts so doesn't quite fall into the stereotypical category.
