Wii Virtual Console Super Mario World

hey guys... I got super mario world for the wii virtual console. Can someone clarify is it possible ot complete this game, as it does not save your progress upon beating bowser and you end up having to restart to continue playing.

Can you therefore run out of save points and cant complete the game?

I think it is. Since after you beat bowser i think you are allowed to go back and choose any level right? Then you can go back and complete all the levels if nessecary. After you complete those levels then try fighting bowser. And cant you save the game at any given time? Or is it the original where you cant save? If its the original....well tough luck man i guess you gotta try and complete the game along the way.

Most older VC games save where you quit as long as you back out to the wii menu.

RE: Wii Virtual Console Super Mario World

All VC games except those for N64 and Neo Geo will save the game exactly as it is at the moment if you quit to the Wii Menu. However, you lose the save once you continue playing. Any save feature in a game itself will work as it did back then.

It saved my progress mid-game. So I assume it should save yours. And I have played it all the way to the finish and kicked Bowser's spikey ass. So, I can verify it is possible to finish it.

RE: Wii Virtual Console Super Mario World

you can save by simply going back into a level that saves the game automatically......like the switch palaces or the boss battles (hold in the l and r buttons to replay those levels) When you find all levels (is it 92 or 96?) there's a star by that number when you start the game. I have beat this game many o times and remember a star by the number on the start screen when you get 100% complete.
