It's been a while since amazon.com has assaulted our wallets with a Blu-ray sale. Unfortunately, it looks like they're up to their money-draining schemes again. This Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal isn't as sweet as their holiday BOGO offers, but for those that are newly building their Blu-ray collection, this will certainly fit the bill. Buyers should be confident knowing that Blu-ray is the format of the future. Heck, both Netflix and Best Buy agree.

Our recommendations from this sale? Pick up Blade Runner (Five-Disc Complete Collector's Edition) for $28. Or, one of the Harry Potter movies.

i'm glad I didnt see Planet Earth on that list, because I just bought it on sunday from amazon.com and would have been PISSED to see it $20 cheaper a few days later or something.. i'm tempted to buy casino royale though but I think I gotta resist on my joy-spending i've been doing lately.

I just got Casino Royale through Netflix, and it's the best Blu Ray movie I've seen to date. It's really is amazing. Not sure how much it is on Amazon, but Best Buy online has it for $20.

I really wanna get Planet Earth, because I loved the DVD series and know the Blu Ray version will be better. I just saw someone trash it on the Amazon forum and talking about how terrible it looks, though I'm guessing the person was more of an HD-DVD fan, since Amazon's forum's have a much more heated debate on the topic of the two formats.

Thinking about another batch of them, perhaps Kung Fu Hustle, House of Flying Daggers and maybe Full Metal Jacket? Not sure yet. I wish Saw and Saw II were in the sale, because I would pick those two since I have III and IV already.

Weeds season 1 really doesn't look that great on Blu Ray, but Season 2 really shines.

BTW Fred Meyer in my area has a Buy one get one free on sony brand blu ray titles. I got Hostel and Kung FU Hustle for 23 bucks plus tax. What a deal!!!!

Very good deal. Kung Fu Hustle is a good movie. I don't know about Hostel, but I guess you can just count that as your free one

House of Flying daggers was one of my choices. I already have Superbad and the new pirates movie was 29.99.......I was not able to find another 29.99 one I wanted.

Hostel is a really really insane movie, it's like Saw but in Europe.
