HA! I finally got into a digital design class! Maybe I'll finally start getting some better entries in as I learn more. Just give me a few months and I might finally have a chance! ^_^

classes will not tell you what looks good in sigs, as sigs are their own beast. The only art theory that carries over is flow really...

The last time I won a SOTW was like....3 months ago.

when If I win, am I allowed certain rule changes? Can one require a certain render to be used, or something to that effect?

Oh, I know that. But knowing my way around Photoshop and knowing enough of the terms to actually be able to follow tutorials (like Close's that I only understood about half of) will help a lot. Then, with some practice and a bunch of C&C from you guys, maybe I'll have a chance ^_^

since Rawr hosts the SOTW challenges, im sure you can just talk to him and he wouldn't mind changing the rules a bit

Yes you may change the rules for the SOTW. (The winner anyway, for the next SOTW)

Ie. Everyone must use the same render, no render, no filters, sig sizes, colour schemes, etc

Just try not to be too harsh
