You saw it LMX? Also, is that good or bad? I've got my ticket for tomorow. Hope it doesn't disapoint.

I did, I'd give it a smooth 3 out of 5. Its a decent film, worth the money if you want something to do.

Hmm. That disapoints me. I was really hoping for a great movie. But then judging by the quality of recent episodes it was to be expected.

I have to disagree with LMX and give it a 4/5. I'll be seeing it a second time. There's so much going on in each scene I know there was tons of stuff I missed the first time around.
It was better than Transformers and Order of the Phoenix for 2 big reasons in my opinion.
Transformers was nothing but a toy showcase gallery with a ton of special effects with a poorly written story. They built up that huge end fight scene only to end it with Megatron fizzling out. It was a big disappointment, they didn't do harm to the franchise but the film itself was only eye-candy and that alone, aside from Peter Cullen's voice acting.
Whereas OotP was slow and dragged out the slowest climbing action I've ever seen in my life, ending it at the climax basically. It left me very unsatisfied when it comes to cinema storytelling. In a way I felt cheated out of my $8.50 because it seemed like I only got to see half a movie.
The Simpsons Movie had a good story behind it, not to mention 20 years of character development. The animation was sweet, there were no overkilled jokes, and they didn't do the typical cliche crap you see in every Hollywood production these days but instead did what they do best and made my movie going experience feel fresh with their satirical take on all of the theatrical redundancies.
And that's all I have to say about that,

Just got back and it was great. It really does the show justice. It's easy to tell that they brought back a lot of the old writters from seasons past. I'm not going to give anything away, but you should definitly go out and watch it. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. Even close to 4.5.

Saw it today, pretty good, which is surprising, considering the way the show has been going...

A lot of the old writters came back for the movie. It would've sucked if it was just the newer people. Not to mention that Matt Groening himself actually wrote a few parts.

I'm seeing Transformers a fourth time then I'll see this a second time next week.
It did the Simpsons justice, but hell... the way the new episodes are anything would have. I'm just waiting for Futurama now, that would be an awesome film.

, I RECENTLY saw simpsons and was suprised also, but i was suprised how good it was and how funny.. By everyone it was expected to be just one of those normal long running episodes and for most it surpassed that by a lot.. I thought it was really great..and really funny, i'd give it a 4/5 , only thing id really want more of would be show more of the simpsons chractors, more time of them... so yeah. Once agian, GREATTTT MOVIE!
