But that being said, I'll see it anyway.

I agree, I have been a simpsons fan since day 1. The new episodes do kind of suck. But like you i'll go see it too. It just makes me sad, because usually once a cartoon makes a movie. It means that cartoon is done. But then again family guy did make somewhat of a comeback after thier crappy movie.

This movie is going to rock!.......hopefully.
This movie should be awesome. They brought back every animator and writer that's ever worked on the series to contribute to the movie. Based on an interview I read with Matt Groening in last months issue of Playboy, he hinted that Conan O'Brien either wrote for the movie or will be writing for the series again.
Also, because it's a big budget film expect to see awesome animated takes and double takes that the TV series couldn't accomplish due to monetary restraints, as well as seeing all sorts of crazy characters interacting in one scene together.
Thats what I like to hear and I agree completely(well the part about futurama anyway). In fact, in case you didn't know. They may be coming out with new episodes soon. They are supposed to go straight to dvd. You can go straight to the source. Billy west himself talks about it on his website. I believe its billywest.com.
The straight to DVD Futurama release will be for the movie.
but i will see it

I totally agree and will see it on Saturday.

They're really not that bad. The new episodes are still better than Family Guy. Family Guy consists of very weak writing and nothing but shock humor accompanied by pop culture references. It's really only funny the first time you watch it unless the viewer has a short attention span and witty jokes go over their head.
At least the new episodes of The Simpsons still convey some sort of message and contain jokes that still make people laugh without having to show for example the head of the household trying to sleep with his mother-in-law. The Simpsons writing is definitely superior and it takes a lot more thought than what goes into it's buttspawned series. I mean come on, Family Guy got old halfway into it's returning season. People only ate it up because they were starved for new episodes. Simpsons have cleared 400 episodes and they're still running, they might have hit a slow spell a few seasons ago but they're regaining some momentum.
but seriously guys...it seems like makeing homer stupider is there last resort for funny, and it seems like there putting education in the new episodes alot, are they requaried to do that?
and speaking of pigs your avy pig has had enough!
