Finally some info on Super Smash Bros. Brawl controls. It isn't much, but it's a start for now, and what better way to start than with the standard, strong, and smash attacks. They work about the same on all 4 control schemes and nothing's changed since Melee.

Standard Attack

Strong Attack

Smash Attack

And by holding down the A/b/1+2 button(s) when performing a smash attack you will be able to charge your attack to build up power, as was introduced in Super Smash Bros. Melee on the GameCube. Let's hope this opens the flood gates to more news on the game's controls as many of us are interested to find out how the game will be played using the Wii remote alone and with the Nunchuk attachment.
I've got to find some news to report on that isn't Smash Bros. updates.

Lol. Info on how Brawl controls work is pretty big news since there is 4 ways to Brawl and the sideways Wiimote has been a mystery. I actually more interested in using the Wiimote sideways no though.
Well, the controls for the Wiimote aren't looking very interesting. I thought there'd be more motion involved.
There is still a chance that there will be some involved.
They have to be. There's not enough buttons on the Wii remote alone for them to not include motion sensing. Not enough accessible buttons that is. Good luck reaching A,B, or even + and - quickly.
In what aspect though? Jumping is looking like the only possible one.
Well what's left?
Blocking, grabbing, jumping, secondary attack (B attack in Melee).
Am I missing something?
Z Trigger on the Nunchuck can be used for blocking AND grabbing.

B button for secondary attacks.

And if need be, C button could be jump.
That's with the nunchuk attached. But what about the Wii remote alone?
That will have to be motion sensing. And it will suck.
It could work fine.

IT can be done, I will at least try to master it.

I won't even bother. The controls will probably end up being too much for Smash.
Probably. But I can see the trash talking on Smash boards and stuff.
"I pwnzored you using only the remote n00b!"
Pretty Cool update!

LMAO LOL I think i would definitely say that if i beat someone with just the Wii-mote! Big Grin

God, it'll be the worst thing since n00bs deluded themselves into thinking Wavedashing was a dirty cheating glitch.

We can only pray the majority will not be so silly with their words when winning with the Wiimote.
Let's hope not

Good luck, I think you'll find quite a few challenging matches here on WL.

How much tournament experience do you have?
looks like only the gamecube seems normal >_>
Cool, not much of an update but I'll take anything. XD
