Even with a diminished E3, there's no controlling the wave of rumors that hit the Internet every year before the show. Why fight it? From now until E3 hits, we'll be posting one piece of wild speculation every day. Some may be patently ridiculous, and others just might turn out to be true. Even some of the ridiculous ones might turn out to be true!
Rumor: It's not just Super Smash Bros. Brawl -- none of the Nintendo-developed or published games will be playable, except for a 30 second demo of Wii Music.
I cant wait til E3 so these rumors can be proven or disproven, but until then...discuss

and metroid is coming out on 27th, so that sure as hell should be playable...
but if true then there could be several reasons IMO...
1. they know Sony or MS have a bombshell to drop and dont want their stuff to be overshadowed
2. E3 aint what it used to be, and nintendo is taking its ball and going home,
3. those personnel cuts (6 of 10 employees) have really affected Nintendo in a negative way, causing them to drop the ball
I don't think they'd do that and I'll wait to see what really happens but I'm sure something of theirs will get shown.

of course they would have playable demos. E3 would be pointless if no one got a feel for the game. I mean anyone can make a game look nice in some short, two minute long trailer. A games awesomeness is really tested when you play it, not when you see a video of it. The previews and what not are just there to draw attention towards the light. But unless the game plays well your not gonna hit the bug zapper.

The third party titles would have to be pretty super special awesome to get more coverage than first party titles.

There's no reason not to have gameplay for 1st party titles -- I can't think of any "hidden gameplans" they might have... This is well within "RUMOR"
i could still see Nintendo holding off for EfA. they are heading it themselves, so they'll be the star of the show anyway. steal all the limelight, and it's closer to the holidays and releases, so it'd like make a HUGE splash in the industry
