YES! IDK WHAT IT IS EITHER!
we might as well continue using this thread to talk about this tthing. could it b war of the worlds 2?
My bad. I just suddenly remembered it and was curious.
Two threads now merged.
CONTINUE DISCUSSION.
Sounds like it'll be a new monster movie... oh God I hope this does well.
I saw the trailer for this the other week and it really interested me as well...I love monster movies!!! I hope they don't screw it up, but if it's being made by the guy who made lost and Mission Impossible 3 (J.J.Abrams) then there's a good chance it'll be good.
Didn't he also make Lost? Which sucked.

Lost season 1 = Great
Lost season two and so on = sucked so bad
New monster movie = Awesome sauce
This isnt an already made moster, in interview he said he wanted something new and intense, so it he would of invented one.
It is possible it is from space ´sci fi´.
its good to hear that we're getting a new monster. you're always hearing about the same ones, it's nice to change it up a bit.
no more remakes or continuations of Godzilla or Kong or Alien...im tired of the same old stuff.

Very true, I really liked Godzilla and King Kong the most recent ones but I would now like a new monster.
Alien films = Amazing, Alien 4 = not so good.
The quad box set is great and I am currently looking for the alien head holding case.
This reminds, AVP2: survival of the fittest is coming out in january aswell. The last AVP was one of my most liked films and I have heard the next one is that one step further making it an R in America and a 18 in england.
meh. I like the originals. anything after that, or maybe a second movie, and it's just repetitive garbage to me. the new King Kong was brilliant animation and graphics wise, but i hated it.
its good to see that someone's finally taking the initiative to go ahead and create something brand new again. its been what, 10 years? since a new monster showed its face.
speaking of which, whatever happened to all those old, stupidly-funny monsters? nobody makes those monsters anymore, and it makes me sad...why not remake THOSE monsters, and leave the already awesome ones to be awesome the way they were?

True, very true.
I can't seem to remember the last new monster, so this is showing some promise.
I found out that the new godzilla is due for 2013 >.<
I'm seeing this movie tonight. And am strangely curious to see what the deal is.
In two four hours I'll know all Cloverfield's secrets! Mwahahahaha!
I'm waiting to see it this weekend or maybe I'll go right now! I forgot it's out. It came out here last night. Wait til Saturday or watch it after work tonight??? Damn, I think I'll wait til Saturday or my friends will be pissed that I didn't tell them and went without them.
Yeah I forgout about it too. Especially with Sweeney Todd out and about. But I'll check this movie out tonight and see what I think.
I watched Attack of the Show tonight and they had 3 guys from the movie, and it was interesting to hear them talk about how the trailer was created before the movie even started filming. I think this could be an amazing movie, and I hope to see it in the next week or so.
I just got back from seeing this interesting film and overall I was impressed. They didn't really go into much detail about the monster, it was just there and decided to attack and f*** s*** up. And that it did. I'll be nice and not spoil the monster for people who want to see it, but its weird to say the least.
Anyhoo. At first the hand held camera work was iffy but I got used to it and liked it. And as sad as it was, I enjoyed the ending as well. Overall, good film... which is surprising because Abrams made it.
If you were even somewhat hyped by the viral campaign... see this film. See it asap.
Damn, now I wish I didn't have to wait until Saturday to see this. Oh well, just two more days. By the way, is the whole movie filmed from that perspective or only just parts of it?
I can only hope this director's gimmick of not revealing anything doesn't amount to the suck of other director's gimmicks (M. Knight).
