GOW on 360: single player is fun, co-op(online or off) is even more fun, and multiplayer gets old pretty damn quick.
PC users shouldnt miss out on this game though. it's basically like a tech demo for the upcoming UT. it has great visuals(and sounds) and im sure they'll get tweaked some more for the PC version.
If there was any reason for me to buy a 360 then this would have been the game. I really like the Halo series and have both games for the Xbox, but now I'll probably just buy Gears for the computer. I think it's a very bad mistake for Microsoft to put this game out for the computer so soon.
I dont understand why they would do this already? If anythink it will go against sales of the 360, i mean it wont be much but, most people buy consoles because of great games and if one of 360's strongest titles is on Pc why get a 360? And its obvious Halo 3 will endup on Pc.
My point exactly....and it seems like there will be extra content for the PC version or at the very least the same thing offered to 360 owners. I think this is Microsoft looking in the short term for cash, and not thinking of the future of the 360.
wow. you guys put a negative spin on everything, eh?
gow has been the most popular played game on live since its release.

i dont think it'll get de-throned until H3 hits. Epic hasnt announced a release date for this game, so for all we know it could be out some time next year. we'll find out at E3. even if this game were to be released tomorrow, how many people have Vista machines? cuz you know this will be a Vista only game. adding extra content for game slated to be released on another gaming platform is nothing new. ubisoft does that all the time. if you were a PC gamer, wouldnt you want some sort of incentive to want to buy this version of GOW? for those who are completely GOW fanatics, dont you think they'll also pick up the PC version to play th new content? it's all a win-win for MS. the game is being released on MS's OS and it already out on the 360 with quite a bit of d/l'able content.
you realize it took over 3 years before they ported halo2 to the PC. it still did not hurt the game on the console. if you look at he link i posted, the last list shows halo 2 as still the most played xbox game. halo 3 will eventually hit PC, but dont expect it anytime soon nor even during the 360's life span.
if this was your only reason to pick up a 360, then you would have been very disappointed especially since you already look at the console on a very pessimistic level.

I dont think anyone would buy a console for just the one game. But it does help decide.
To be honest I dont think we are being negative, Just skeptic.
But if the game is going to be released next year that would make most sense.
Agreed, Gears of War is the finest 360 game to date, and I think it will give Halo 3 a run for it's money. It would have been one of the major reasons for buying a 360, but now there's no point.
Microsoft created a game machine, but now they're letting the PC market get a piece of the action too. I can only think that this will suffocate the 360, but MS might not care as long as they're making money.
