I need a new laptop. A good laptop. That costs under £1000 (around $2000).
My specs I need.
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 or higher (2GHz+)
At least 2GB DDR2 Dual Channel
At least 120GB HDD
High resolution display (at least 1680 x 1050)
Non Intel 900/950 GMA graphics (at least intel x1300, preferred ATI but nVidia will do)
Wi-Fi is a necessity
DVD RW
preferable options, carry bag, spare battery, bluetooth, glossy screen
I don't mind about size, weight, OS (Provided I can put windows on there) or bundled software.
Oh and it needs to either have an external PSU or take 240V if it's internal
can anyone help? I'm not too afraid of importing so if it's cost effective, then it's an option.
Mail order would be the best option in the states, as those are difficult specs to come across in a store (specifically, 2GB RAM and Resolution)
I can get you a better price than what you've listed (no problems there) but you really should put more thought into what size/weight you are comfortable with. 15.4" will be cheapest, and going up or down will get more expensive.

Macbook Pro. Either now or toward the end of the year, I forget. Macbook if you don't mind intel graphics. Works very well.
