W00t! I just got Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Edubuntu in the mail!

Ubuntu is nice (I'm writing from it) but the resolution is stuck at 1024x768 and I can't change it because it won't recognise that my monitor is 1280x1024 so everything looks kinda ugly....

I hope I get Fedora soon
Now I'm in Kubuntu! Wow Kubuntu is an awful lot better than Ubuntu in my opinion, its one of those things where you feel like everything works. Wow, I'm gonna be using this more often.
ubuntu's prettyer though XD
hmmmmm, kinda... Also I got the screen thing fixed. I just restsrted it and it was fine. can't wait to try Fedora 7
Yeah the only linux i've played around with is sun solaris 9 i think, ubuntu, slackware and will soon be playing with ipcop and korora. Korora is probably the prettiest of them all but it is also still beta.
Solaris isn't a Linux distro though
yeah suppose not huh, it unix based though
true
I used to have a multiboot system

Windows XP
Windows 98
Mandrake 10
OpenBSD (i forget)
BeOS 5
Slackware 8 I think
and
Fedora Core 1
nicely done, i don't run dual or multi boot systems, i just end up using a vm. that way i can still dink around on the base machine.
yeah, I always found VMs to be slow though :/
Yeah they usually are, although depending on your pc and how much memory you give them they won't run to bad.
actually, I've not tried on my C2D yet... perhaps I should do that now :/
Perhaps.....

I'm excited finally got my MCE installed, i kept missing a stupid command prompt that asked me to delete a registry key on the live cd portion of the install Toungue

now to get my vm's going Big Grin
yeah?
Sorry i was babbling and now that i read it it doesn't make as much sense

definitely...

I used Ubuntu when I went to visit my brother a few years ago. It was interesting, but I had never heard of it before then.
It's not bad, Kubuntu is also nice
Is this about computers?

To start with, I thought these were place names...
