Well now, they've released the real trailer, and the differences are as clear as a summer's day. While they still give Halo 3 visuals a run for their money, the fact that we were blessed with the CGI trailer first, really makes this one seem dull and unoriginal.
there's better res versions of this thing elsewhere. it looks good. lots of action. going HUD-less was a pretty interesting choice. textures were definitely lacking, but with all the activity going on in the bg and fire fights, it makes up for it. this game seems like a better contender against GOW than halo3 though. this game is basically PS3's GOW; killer app no doubt. i dont think this one will hit this year. maybe december. we'll see.
hopefully the PS3 gets another price drop in 8 months and then i'll consider getting one.
I think we'll see more of these type of games if publishers can start using the PS3 to it's fullest. We'll all keep out fingers crossed, but for now this game Killzone 2 looks amazing.
Yeah CZMQFRG watch the video in high-res and you will be impressed. Maybe the best looking game to date on any platform. That being said, the gameplay itself just looks like a generic first-person shooter with more action, but obviously that's hard to judge without more information and hands-on time.
killzone2 looked good. one of the best shown at E3, but COD4, imo, looked fantastic! when the developers were doing the on-stage demo of the game and that sniper wearing the Ghillie cammo just pops out from right in front of you. i was in awe. this game is loaded with action as well. cant wait to try out the public beta!
